When the sun sets it doesn&rsquo;t mean that you need to stop taking photographs. The Night Time Experience is designed for photographers who understand the fundamentals of exposure and now want to explore creativity in a different way.
A tripod is a must for night-time photography as we look at different ways you can use the available light from the street, vehicles or even the stars to illuminate a scene and create a terrific image that you would want to share.
The workshop is very much reliant on the dry weather as we will usually be working with long exposures and some aspects, such as star trails, require a cloudless evening so whilst the agenda for the session isn&rsquo;t fixed, the techniques you will learn can be applied to many other forms of low light photography.
To get the most benefit from this workshop you will need to understand how to use the manual functions on your camera. If you are unsure, we would recommend you attend the Switch to Manual session first.

<li>It is helpful to have a wide-angle lens and a long zoom, although if you only have a kit-lens then that will still be fine for this workshop</li>
<li>The timing for this workshop is flexible on the conditions, it will last somewhere between 3 and 4 hours.</li>
<li>Ensure your camera batteries are fully charged and consider having a spare</li>
<li>An empty memory card, we&rsquo;ll take about 150 photographs during the session.</li>

All materials will be provided and during the day you will produce your own lovely mosaic art, using our vast range of vitreous glass tiles and other shiny bits and pieces.
We also have a range of pre cut wooden shapes making it nice and easy.&nbsp;

4 - IR Vein Detector:
Demonstration of the IR vein detector for assisting in detection of difficult veins.
5 - Veins in back of hand:
Detecting suitable veins in the back of the hand.
6 - POC testing:
Point of Care Testing - use of glucose meter to demonstrate a typical POC test procedure. Correct use and overview of other POC test devices.
7 - Using lancets (finger collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for POC testing and whole blood micro-collection.
8 - Using lancets (heel collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for neonatal blood spot tests (Guthrie Test).
9 - Capillary collection
Using glass capillary tubes for micro-collection. Correct use and handling.
10 - Microtube collection
Correct use of BD Microtainers (and similar micro-collection bottles) - collection and handling.

A detailed look at different types of cannulas, respective benefits and attributes. Selectinng an appropriate pVAD.
5 - Complications:
Complications of pVAD insertion including examples of
infiltration, haematoma, extravasation and transfixation.
6 - VIP Score:
Understanding and using the Visual Infusion Phlebitis score.
7 - Equipment - overview:
We take a look at all essential equipment required for PIVC.
8 - PRACTICAL SESSIONS:
Multiple practical sessions throughout the session.

The importance of understanding fluids. Includes detailed overview of: maintenance fluids, Hartmann’s solution, Colloids (and risks), blood products.

This Vaccination / Injection Course is a nurse or paramedic-led half-day session covering all essential theory and practical skill-sets required to deliver effective Intramuscular, Intradermal and Subcutaneous injections / vaccinations.

Our Peripheral IV Cannulation Course and Injection Course training kits are supplied at no charge when booking our virtual classroom training option.
If you would like to add one or both of these kits to your classroom training option then these are available for you to add at time of booking. Training kits mirror the same equipment and supplies used in the classroom and both include detailed video instructions, allowing you to continue to practice and "hone" your skills after you have completed your practical training.

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM OPTION- Complete your theory training online at home or work, then join us for your one full day to complete your cannulation and injection course training.

Our Virtual Classroom option includes two very comprehensive training kits - one for your cannulation course and one for your injection course. An online  gathering at the Soul Shed to journey into your inner world through forest story.
The clearing in the centre of the forest is a magical place of transformation and one where new contact can be made with the creatures and characters of our inner world.
If you are new to intuitive creativity, and The Soul Shed approach to exploring, know that you need no experience to participate in these sessions apart from in being you! Bring your curiosity and imagination, and the forest clearing will contain what you need, as a map and a mirror to learn about yourself in a gentle non-intrusive way.
Supported by the trees of the forest,  we will find this space within and take our time here, meeting with achetypal characters like Red Riding Hood, Woodcutter, Wolf, Green man and woman, Rapunzel,  Prince and Sleeping Beauty, discerning which of these beings wants to share their wisdom with each of us. 
This is an opportunity to go into the world of forest story and to explore your intuitive creativity as a wisdom stream you can connect with through your embodied presence!
