Growing up in Antigua, Guatemala, his mother taught him to dance and teach together with her at her school Ritmo Latino.<br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;"><br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">At the age of 12 he started teaching Salsa/Mambo and a diverse variety of Latin dances and Latin percussion. He has since then been teaching for over 25 years.<br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;"><br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">At the age of 17, he moved to Japan where he opened his own dance school and created his own Latin jazz sextet "Foribale". He became an ambassador for Salsa in Japan, and travelled the world representing Japan at different congresses.<br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;"><br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">The name "Alexistyle" was given to him by the legendary, Albert Torres. Mr Torres later awarded Alexis with an honorary award for his work in Japan, while teaching and performing at Los Angeles Salsa Congress.<br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;"><br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">After 8 years in Japan, he moved to Norway. There he introduced the musicality of Mambo to the Salsa community in Norway, and his concept of Mambo Masterclass was born. Since then he has trained Norwegian champions, taught around the world on elite level, including London&#39;s leading Mambo School Funky Mambo, and created a vocabulary and a methodology that is completely unique. He is world famous for his lectures about "Salsa roots" where he dives into the history of both the music and the dance, and also the different musical influences in Salsa.<br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;"><br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">He has an extensive background in Latin music, Latin dance and sound. He is a full-time professional dancer and musician. He got a degree in Afro-Cuban dances and percussion at "Conjunto Folklorico Nacional De Cuba", and has a Bachelor in sound engineering from Westerdals ACT, and is actively working on various TV and film projects. He has his own sound engineering company called AlphaRhythm. You can find his music on Spotify, iTunes and more. He plays all the instruments himself, record himself and edit, a multi-instrumentalist and musical genius! In Norway he is known for playing with some of the best Salsa bands like Sonora Cimarron, La Descarga, Banakao, Son on Fire, Son Candela and others!<br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;"><br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">Through his career he has had several dance partners, while also working as a solo artist. Some of his most famous choreographies and shows, has been together with his long-time dance partner Katrin Lerner.<br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;"><br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">In 2015 he created Norway&#39;s first Mambo dance company, Allure Dance company. Alexis focuses on musicality and rhythms, and shows storytelling and traditions in his choreographies. The company is project based, and performers has been varied through its years. He has toured all over Europe with the company.<br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;"><br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">Today he is co-owner of Norway&#39;s only Tap dance school that he also teaches rhythmical concepts and music. How do I attend?

EITHER -
CLASSROOM OPTION - Attend one of our scheduled classroom locations, completing your Introduction to Phlebotomy Course over 2 days. You will also complete your Advanced Training at the end of the first day and your Competency Training at the end of the second day.

Our Introduction to Phlebotomy and Advanced Phlebotomy Training Kits are supplied at no charge when booking our virtual classroom training option.
If you would like to add one or both of these kits to your classroom training option then these are available to add at time of booking. Our comprehensive training kits each mirror the same equipment and supplies used in the classroom and both include detailed video tutorials, allowing you to continue to practice and "hone" your skills after you have completed your practical training.

OR -

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM OPTION- Complete your theory training online at home or work, then join us for a one day Zoom session to complete your Introduction to Phlebotomy virtual classroom training, followed by your Advanced Training in the evening of the same day. You have the option to add a classroom-based competency session, awarding a CPD Accredited Geopace Certificate of Competency, at time of booking.

Our Virtual Classroom option includes two very comprehensive training kits - one for your introductory course and one for your advanced course. Kits are included at no charge (normally £79.95 each) and are yours to keep and to continue to practice with after you have finished your courses. The equipment and supplies included in your kits are the same as those used if you choose the classroom option.

You will receive a voucher code to enable you to book onto any upcoming dates or locations. For most of our two day course we run our competency training at the end of the second day and therefore you should be able to complete your full training programme with us over two days.

You will follow your tutor's on-screen instructions during your Zoom virtual classroom sessions as you learn and develop your phlebotomy skills. The procedures and practices taught online are exactly the same as you would learn in the classroom. At any time before or after your course you can watch our 30 minute step-by-step video to refresh your knowledge and continue to use your training kit to practice your skills.

P04: Practical Session 4 – Handling and assembling the equipment. Familiarisation and procedures including initial skill-set development

P06A: Practical Session 6A – Performing the venepuncture on the mini-arm trainer. Palpating the vein, performing the venepuncture. Sample handling and labelling.
P06B: Practical Session 6B – Consolidating pre- and post-venepuncture procedures.

You must complete your Part 1 online study before joining us for your Zoom session(s).
Once you have enrolled on this course you will be sent a free Practise@Home Training Kit, This is yours to keep and can be reused any many time as you wish after you have completed the course.
