Whilst soldering experience is not necessary, a basic understanding of soldering and forming metal would be advantageous, enabling you more time to focus on your design. However, we practice simple soldering techniques, for those with little or no experience. To ensure that all abilities are catered for.On the day you will design and make gorgeous sterling silver bangles. You will be guided through a variety of techniques. You can choose from a variety of designs to make two bangles. You can choose to make hammered textures, using small specialised hammers. Twisted wire bangles. Waved or plain round bangles or a combination of two designs. This day course will run from 10 am- 4pm and will teach you basic metalwork skills such as piercing, etching, forming and riveting whilst making a humorous steel Hare with a wonderful billowing copper scarf.
All materials and templates are included in the price.
The class will be no larger than 5 people and held in Bryony's own colourful and eclectic workshop at Coburg House Studios in Leith, Edinburgh.
Due to Covid19 restrictions Bryony cannot provide tea, coffee but she will point you in the direction of some great local Leith Deli's and coffee shops where you can pick up lunch or feel free to bring your own.
In accordance with Covid19 Safety measures students are provided with disposable masks and/ or visors to wear. The class size is now 5 students rather than 8, with work spaces socially distanced by 2 meters. All tools are sanitised before use.

Handmade soap is such a treat, imagine making your own.&nbsp;This relaxed and informative workshop is a fascinating insight into the world of making cold process soap; the original, the traditional, the finest method of making soap. During your day, you will make two batches of soap - each batch makes 6-8 bars. The first focussing on following the making method and introducing fragrance, the second exploring the addition of colour and creating decorative patterns. There will be a selection of carefully curated recipes for you to choose from, including an exciting new addition; goat&#39;s milk soap, known for its kindness to skin and hydration qualities.&nbsp;This is an in-depth workshop. Your experienced and knowledgable tutor will share the science behind this ever popular craft, and there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions during the day.&nbsp;The workshop will run from 10.00am until 4.00pm, with a pause for a ploughman-style lunch. Your lunch and everything you need to make your two batches of soap will be provided, as will a workshop apron for you to wear during your day.&nbsp;We have run this workshop for nine years and it is an absolute joy!&nbsp;Places on this workshop are limited to 8.

Ruth and Lauren would like to invite you to join them for the day in the beautiful private grounds of the Birtley Estate for a Women's Woodland Retreat Day - Finding your inner goddess or a soulful journey connecting to your inner goddess. Ruth with guide you through a Nia Somatic movement/dance routine called Soul that connects you to the earth and your inner spirit which will begin our journey unleashing your true self and finding that inner goddess in you. Lying on the floor surrounded by nature we will slip into a deep relaxation followed by Lauren taking us on a guided meditation around the lake and through the forest to connect to Mother Earth and her healing.
We will venture along the forest path and look within to bring life to our Inner Goddess. We will awaken her from her slumber and free her from the depths of our minds, to release her being onto this World.
Ruth will guide you to create your own clay goddess while we talk with each other and connect to the grounding nature of the earth element.&nbsp;
We will break for lunch and quiet time or time for a little walk.&nbsp; There is no experience needed as your Inner Goddess will guide your way and will support you in choosing the most beneficial and supportive crystal. After lunch, we may practise Yin Yoga and lie back for a Yoga Nidra in the wild.&nbsp;
Lauren will teach you how to call upon her when needed and show you what your inner goddess can do for you in all areas of your life. We will take time to get to know her and how she can aid us. Once we have met our inner goddess, we will take time to get to know and discuss how crystals can work hand in hand with our Inner Goddess. Our bodies and subconscious will work as one and we will discuss how we can learn to trust in this and our Inner Goddess when making decisions and helping us live our best life. You will have the opportunity to choose a crystal that resonates with you to take home.
We will break for Tea and Essential Oil snacks followed by an essential oil workshop which leads onto our final celebration with Lauren where we will join her Inner Goddess Fire Ceremony where we will enjoy a magical Cacao Elixir. Here we will once again go on a meditation journey with our Inner Goddess and meet Mama Cacao. The messages and the sensations we feel on these journeys are sacred &ndash; we will take the time to write our messages of hope, belief and growth and we will use the energy of the fire to put these out to the Universe. We will take the time to celebrate our differences and embrace our Inner Goddess.​

An online  gathering at the Soul Shed to journey into your inner world through forest story.
The clearing in the centre of the forest is a magical place of transformation and one where new contact can be made with the creatures and characters of our inner world.
If you are new to intuitive creativity, and The Soul Shed approach to exploring, know that you need no experience to participate in these sessions apart from in being you! Bring your curiosity and imagination, and the forest clearing will contain what you need, as a map and a mirror to learn about yourself in a gentle non-intrusive way.
Supported by the trees of the forest,  we will find this space within and take our time here, meeting with achetypal characters like Red Riding Hood, Woodcutter, Wolf, Green man and woman, Rapunzel,  Prince and Sleeping Beauty, discerning which of these beings wants to share their wisdom with each of us.
