<p style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;" id="isPasted" fr-original-style=" color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">This year, we will be hosting our summer school Monday 31st July-Friday 4th August, 9am-4pm at our studio: GDA, Unit 16 Paper Mill End, B44 8NH.&nbsp;&nbsp;Each day, children will participate in a range of performing arts, including dancing, singing, drama and arts and crafts all around the theme of Roald Dahl&#39;s Matilda. We hope to put on a mini performance on the Friday afternoon which parents are invited to watch.</p><p style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;" fr-original-style=" color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">This is open to ALL CHILDREN aged 6-13 years. &nbsp;</p><p style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;" fr-original-style=" color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">The cost to members is &pound;25 per day or &pound;90 for all 5 days.</p><p style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;" fr-original-style=" color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Children should wear their own comfortable clothing and can either bring a packed lunch or pre-order a hot dinner for &pound;2. There are shops and cafes nearby to grab them and you can also pair up with others to order takeaway to the venue if you like.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">Schedule: The day will start off with having coffe and breakfast together during an introduction into Positive Psychology, followed by a Mindful Journalling and Colour exercise.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">Then you will be intived to take part in creating an artwork with your eyes closed, designed to conquer the inner judge.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">Followed by this we will break off for lunch and you can either enjoy lunch that you brought in the park nearby, pop over to the cafe across the road or enjoy the snacks provided.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">The second half of the day will be all about creating your joyful masterpiece!</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">After theses you will engage in a warm up painting activity to ease into colour mixing, explore tools and let go of judgement (such as the &#39;I&#39;m not an artist&#39; mindset, - we are all artists deep within.)</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">The next exercise will be during our walk in nature. You will be asked to look for things that bring you joy, then pick your favourite, which will be the basis of your colour palette. This exercise will help you refocus you attention to positive experiences. Where attention goes, grows!</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">﻿The colours from which, you will be taught to mix your own palette by Anna, the professional Artist host after which you will experiment with her painting tools then get started on your final artwork.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">This activity will require to have a phone charged, with camera to record sceneries you see on your walk that bring you joy and inspire you to create.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">Followed by this when we arrived back, you will print your favourite picture from your walk and stick in your workbook the help of which I will guide you to create your joyful colour palette by picking three colours as a starting point, mix them up with artist guidance and expand your palette by experimenting with various shades.</p><p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">After all this we will focus on engaging in creative flow. 2 - Syringe and Needle (open system): Correct use and applications.
3 - Monovette (open and closed systems):
Using the Monovette system in aspiration mode - correct use and applications.
Using the Monovette system in evacuated mode - correct use and applications.
4 - IR Vein Detector:
Demonstration of the IR vein detector for assisting in detection of difficult veins.
5 - Veins in back of hand:
Detecting suitable veins in the back of the hand.
6 - POC testing:
Point of Care Testing - use of glucose meter to demonstrate a typical POC test procedure. Correct use and overview of other POC test devices.
7 - Using lancets (finger collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for POC testing and whole blood micro-collection.
8 - Using lancets (heel collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for neonatal blood spot tests (Guthrie Test).
9 - Capillary collection
Using glass capillary tubes for micro-collection. Correct use and handling.
10 - Microtube collection
Correct use of BD Microtainers (and similar micro-collection bottles) - collection and handling.

Our Peripheral IV Cannulation Course and Injection Course training kits are supplied at no charge when booking our virtual classroom training option.
If you would like to add one or both of these kits to your classroom training option then these are available for you to add at time of booking. Training kits mirror the same equipment and supplies used in the classroom and both include detailed video instructions, allowing you to continue to practice and "hone" your skills after you have completed your practical training.

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM OPTION- Complete your theory training online at home or work, then join us for your one full day to complete your cannulation and injection course training.

Our Virtual Classroom option includes two very comprehensive training kits - one for your cannulation course and one for your injection course. Kits are included at no charge (normally £79.95 and £39.95 respectively) and are yours to keep and to continue to practice with after you have finished your courses. Vaccination / Injection Course (GPT601)

An online  gathering at the Soul Shed to journey into your inner world through forest story.
The clearing in the centre of the forest is a magical place of transformation and one where new contact can be made with the creatures and characters of our inner world.
If you are new to intuitive creativity, and The Soul Shed approach to exploring, know that you need no experience to participate in these sessions apart from in being you! Bring your curiosity and imagination, and the forest clearing will contain what you need, as a map and a mirror to learn about yourself in a gentle non-intrusive way.
Supported by the trees of the forest,  we will find this space within and take our time here, meeting with achetypal characters like Red Riding Hood, Woodcutter, Wolf, Green man and woman, Rapunzel,  Prince and Sleeping Beauty, discerning which of these beings wants to share their wisdom with each of us. 
This is an opportunity to go into the world of forest story and to explore your intuitive creativity as a wisdom stream you can connect with through your embodied presence!
