This qualification provides learners with knowledge and skills to apply reliable, evidence-based nutritional science and healthy eating recommendations. Learners will gain an understanding of nutritional science and their application to exercise, sport and athletic performance. This includes the limitations and risks of supplements and performance aids, and the importance of hydration for sports performance. Working within their scope of practice, learners will be able to support their clients in their understanding of the relevance of official guidelines to personal food preferences and needs, including for health and wellbeing, weight management and sports performance.

ONLINE CLASS: FOCUSES ON HARASSMENT IN THE WORKPLACE AND HOW TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM. Harassment doesn’t have to be of a sexual nature – it can include offensive remarks about a person’s gender. For example, anyone could be guilty of harassing another if offensive comments are made about certain group in general. Simple teasing or offhand comments might not be illegal, but harassment is illegal when it creates a hostile or offensive work environment. This workshop teaches how to recognize, understand, and respond to harassment so that you can help to maintain a happy work environment, free from hostility and discomfort. Topics: Harassment Laws: The definition of sexual harassment and quid pro quo. Types of Harassment: Verbal, Non-Verbal, Physical, Psychological (teasing and offhand comments). Creating a happy work environment free from hostility and discomfort. Reporting: What to do when employees witness or experience harassment. Responding: How managers can identify and respond to prohibited conduct. Attendees will be able to: Identify the signs of Harassment and take steps to prevent it, Follow a legal and ethical protocol in responding and reporting it when it is perceived to occur, Involve the correct individuals in being made aware of the occurrence, and Respond appropriately to the situation after it occurs. It will also consider what ‘good’ systems, policies and procedures look like as well as providing you with tools to evaluate if your interest policy is ‘fair and reasonable’ and practical scenario’s to identify banking facilities. Speaker Sarah Charlton, Consultant, DG Legal Sarah has a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting and is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants. Her career spans over 35 years working within the legal sector, fulfilling roles from COFA through to CEO. During her career she has worked with a number of legal regulators, professional bodies and government organisations. Sarah has been a member of the Institute of Legal Finance and Management throughout her career, qualifying as a Fellow member in 2005. Sarah also served as chairperson between 2010-2012 and continues to serve as an Executive Council Member.
