What is Mental Health First Aid? Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. MHFA England training won’t teach you to be a therapist, but just like physical first aid, it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis. The five day National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification (NVBLQ) will provide the learner with the knowledge and skills required in order to provide professional patrolling and water services, in surf conditions, with rescue skills and advanced fitness requirements. Many aspects of the course are physically demanding and WILL include running, swimming to set times and some lifting. This award is comprised of a variety of units and all must be successfully passed to attain the qualification.
