Our fun and engaging play-based Spanish sessions for children include lots of singing, interactive games and activities and storytelling in Spanish. They are aimed at children aged 2-4 but if your little one is slightly older or younger you are still welcome to join us and see if they like it! They last for 45 minutes, with an extra 15 minutes at the end of the session for children to play and parents/carers to socialise over a cup of tea of coffee. They are delivered by a qualified native Spanish teacher with full GTCS registration and PVG and nearly ten years of experience teaching languages internationally. Come along to one of our trial sessions and see if this is something you and your little one would enjoy! If this is the case, you can then purchase a block of sessions and learn Spanish with us weekly! We look forward to seeing you :)

The Paediatric Infectious Diseases team at University College London Hospital are hosting this training for the networks of people who care for Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children: Support/ Key workers, foster carers, social workers and members of Looked After Children teams. The aim of the training is to inform you why we carry out infectious screening, how our service works, and how you can support our service. Cademy will send you a link for the Teams meeting once you have registered. Please disseminate these events in your networks. This course will explore ways to support and enhance the quality of care provided to the individual approaching end of life, their families and their carers.

* 3 - 4 hour course * A course for (unpaid) carers and volunteers who care for people with mobility problems  * Gives learners the skills to protect their own backs -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COURSE CONTENTS: * The importance of safe manual handling * Basic Risk Assessments * Types of equipment designed to aid moving people safely  * Use of a wheelchair * Safely moving people in and out of their wheelchair * Safely moving people in and out of a car * Use of banana boards and similar objects * Helping people get up out of their chairs * Helping people to walk by themselves, using sticks or zimmer frames where required -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BENEFITS OF THIS COURSE: * This is a very practical course * 36% of carers have injuries such as back pain, caused by their caring responsibilities  * This course is there to help carers take care of themselves by showing them, and giving time to practice, techniques to aid the person they care for move by themselves where possible -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CPD ACCREDITED This course is not an Ofqual regulated qualification, and has no accreditation attached.
