Beyond Coaching

beyond coaching

Mandalas can be seen in all fundamental shapes such as in snails and trees, in atoms and the solar system and in the earth, moon and sun. Every mandala is related, yet distinctly unique. On a more symbolic level, the mandala is recognised in some way or another in almost every culture and religion. For us at Beyond Coaching, the mandala lies at the heart of the Self… It is the centre of our inter-connectedness with everyone and everything around us. It speaks to the eco-systems that we exist in in the companies we work in, the people we work with, lead and inspire. It also manifests in our personal circles, our friends, family and the communities we exist in. The mandala embodies a truly universal principle that is all embracing, regardless of the foundation of one’s belief. It symbolises the connections that exist between us and everything that surrounds us. More than anything it represents Wholeness and our African value of uBuntu. This is what drove us to form Beyond Coaching in 2009, when 21 like-minded coaches and trainers pulled together in the possibility of forming a coaching and training movement. One that is powered by Consciousness and committed to transforming the face of leadership and business. Bringing true collaboration, cohesion and mutual care back into the work place – for the sake of the people and of course for the sake of exponential business success. Rienzo Colpo was one of those founders he navigated the metamorphosis of that Beyond Coaching, to the lean and powerful force that it is today. Early in 2016 Mareli Kruger decided to move across from the University of Pretoria and join Beyond Coaching. This completed the foundation of senior coaches and master facilitators heading up the company.

WanderWomen Scotland

Hi, I am Anna. I set up WanderWomen Scotland Ltd in November 2018, in order to encourage women into the Outdoors, and to enable them to have their space the male-dominated Adventure world. Nature has been my happy place ever since growing up in East Germany, a locked-down country. Getting away from propaganda, Stasi spies and political control, getting outdoors meant freedom and truth, even if that meant holidaying in really basic huts, without electricity or flowing water, skinny dipping in all kinds of bodies of water and cooking over fire. After spending my 20s in London, turning my back on nature a little, yet still cycling everywhere, having my own children made me appreciate the outdoors again, I re-familiarised myself with the feeling of content that the seasons brought, or the reassurance of the cycles of growth in the garden, or the cycles of the moon. Disagreeing with the early school starting age in the UK, I flexi-schooled my 2 boys throughout their Primary School years, working with local rangers, counting bumble bees and orchids and doing other conservation tasks, built mandala sculptures, bug hotels, community gardens and a willow play village at a local park and set up an outdoor learning group for pre-school children. Once it was not cool enough for them anymore, spending their Mondays climbing trees and making fires with Mama, I decided I wanted to keep sharing the benefits of nature, as well as my survival skills – and with the help of a vision board, and support from family and friends, WanderWomen was born: Offering Outdoor events in a mix of mindfulness and adventure. Wild Swimming is my Meditation, Solo Camping is Selfcare, Yoga is being playful, Silence is where my Creativity gets birthed, and Walking is thinking & problem-solving. Cycling is getting me from A to B, and my competitive side manifests itself in going slower. I love the smell of fire and the sound of rain on canvas. Plant connection is strong, and I forage, appreciate and lay mandalas to practice mindfulness.

By Art and Spirituality CIC

Plant your seeds with creativity and meditation: make your own miniature garden basket and connect with your root chakra to nurture your dreams. Free workshop for international women. Life is a garden, a canvas where you can create the imaginable. This workshop invites you to plant your ideas and dreams like seeds into fertile soil, nurturing your goals and passions. We'll start by grounding ourselves through meditation, reconnecting with nature and the foundational energy of the root chakra. Through artistic expression, you'll craft a vision for your life's garden, identifying what you want to achieve and transform. Writing down your priorities and focusing your energy on what matters most will guide this process. You'll prepare to welcome transformation with a newfound awareness. In a creative, hands-on activity, you'll plant seeds in a miniature garden basket, decorating it with fairy and natural elements. This symbolises the nurturing of your wishes and dreams. Join us to explore the powerful connection between art, mental health and wellbeing, cultivating a vibrant, transformative garden within. This class is sponsored by Thrive Edinburgh. It is FREE and is aimed at WOMEN only from ETHNIC MINORITY BACKGROUNDS living in Edinburgh as per this funding application . This means “international”, from every foreign country. Mandala and the Art of Henna with Daniel Docherty and Sheetle Shah

By Sacred Art of Geometry

Join Daniel Docherty and Sheetle Shah for this practical two-day course exploring sacred pattern and the art of henna. On the first day of the course Daniel will give an overview of the practice and philosophy of Mandalas from various traditions. Participants will be introduced to certain key characteristics and significant symbolism inherent within traditional Mandalas. We will learn how to construct some of these sacred patterns using the traditional tools of compass and straightedge. Sheetle, a henna artist with 20 years of experience with this traditional art form, will guide participants through the processes of making and preparing henna paste 'from scratch'. You will learn how to apply intricate patterns to paper, hands or feet depending on your preference! Henna is a natural pigment with remarkable staining qualities. You will learn how it is traditionally applied to hands and feet during festivals and celebrations; today, henna is also applied for ‘belly blessings’, cosmetic tattoos, semi-permanent face painting, hair dye and has developed many other creative roles.
