OUR STORY The Raphael Studios opened in the summer of 2020, with online Yoga classes hosted from our main Studio by teacher, Bridget. Designed to be a welcoming, calm and versatile space the studios are now open and offer a range of holistic activities including yoga, meditation, sound therapy, pottery and psychological therapy. Owner Bridget is a trained Hatha and Yin Yoga instructor and meditation coach. She has experience in tailoring classes to suit individual needs – and offers a range of classes for the individual and group, both on-line and in person. She passionately believes that yoga is for everyone and is equally comfortable designing a class to suit the age and level of fitness. Bridget is also a Psychiatrist, EMDR consultant and training facilitator. Our studios are located on our family farm in Ballinderry Upper, just 20 miles from Belfast. Due to the current global pandemic, we have maintained our online presence - with 50% of our classes currently taking place online. In our space, all are welcome, and we are sure there is a class perfect for you

Caroline is the founder of Mindfulness NI. She has been practicing mindfulness for more than 18 years and began teaching mindfulness approximately eight years ago, running workshops for groups and also introducing mindfulness to individual clients.

Dyslexia can be described as a continuum of difficulties in learning to read, write and/or spell, which persist despite the provision of appropriate learning opportunities. These difficulties often do not reflect an individual’s cognitive abilities and may not be typical of performance in other areas. Dyslexia is independent of intellectual ability. The impact of dyslexia as a barrier to learning varies in degree according to the learning and teaching environment, as there are often associated difficulties in the areas of: Auditory and /or visual processing of language-based information Phonological awareness Oral language skills and reading fluency Short-term and working memory Sequencing and directionality Number skills Organisational ability Dyslexia exists in all cultures and across the range of abilities and socio-economic backgrounds. It is a hereditary, life-long, neurodevelopmental condition. It affects up to 10% of the UK population at some level and can affect anyone of any age and background. Learners with dyslexia will benefit from early identification, appropriate intervention and targeted, effective teaching, enabling them to become successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors and responsible citizens. Since opening our doors we have been a co-educational, independent and one of the first ‘integrated’ schools in Northern Ireland, welcoming students from ages 3-17.
