It is a myth that we must be flexible to do Yoga. We do not arrive to Yoga with perfect bodies. Through breath and mindful movement we move our bodies and our minds toward wholeness and healing, and we learn to  accept ourselves as we are each day.  WHAT IS VINYASA FLOW YOGA? Vinyasa Flow yoga classes are both a physical challenge and a moving meditation. We start with yogic breathwork (pranayama) and warm up our bodies with gentle movements.  We then move into a more rigorous flow where we connect our breath with our movement through various yoga postures.  Modifications are offered for different abilities and those with conditions and injuries.  We then wind down with relaxing postures and deep rest.  In these classes you can expect to build physical strength, balance and stamina.  You will also develop a mindfulness practice and better body awareness.   This is a strength-based style of yoga so expect to sweat. At the end of class, you will leave feeling challenged and energised, yet also calm and centred.  With regular attendance you can expect to feel stronger and more flexible, to have better balance and to learn mindfulness tools to manage stress.  -- Please note: a reasonable level of fitness is required for these classes. You should be able to walk briskly for a mile and go up and down stairs without difficulty. Flexibility is NOT a requirement, rather it is one of the benefits gained by practicing yoga. 😊 After my first yoga class, I was hooked. I felt so calm. My body felt so open, and so tall. For more than 20 years now I have attended yoga classes for fitness, fun and to find a place of peace and respite. It’s helped me through bouts of back, neck, and wrist pain when I worked in IT. Yoga kept me fit during pregnancy and gives me a calming place to go when I need a break from the constancy of motherhood.

Tantra means Matrix and is the science that enables us to understand the complex intricacies of life in simple steps: the ability to see ourselves for who we truly are - your own unique experiment, make adjustments to the way we perceive the world/reality (expand our consciousness), understand more clearly what is good or right for us (wellbeing, healthy environments, personal & spiritual growth, natural simple living), behaving in the world more effectively to influence the environment around us, and to receive from the environment what we desire (understanding the laws of energy & mastering energy resonance). After many years studying the diverse range of systems in personal development, leadership, medicine and spiritual development, what we discovered is that Tantra and its sister science of Ayurveda bring powerful, tangible, permanent and expanding transformation, both for the body, mind and soul, and for the world we live in. The Alchemy of Living has been created to share these amazing teachings with individuals and motivate them to live a more fulfilling life, to experience a change within and be catalysts in society for a more balanced and harmonious way of being. We also offer therapies using Tantric and Ayurvedic massage, yoga and meditation to help detox and rebalance your holistic being.

A mandala is a circle that becomes a container to hold your ideas and emotions, it is a circle of interconnection. You'll listen to the history and deep meanings of this wonderful concept through Giada's words: she will explore mandalas from nature to religion to art and more. Mandalas are one of the most ancient art forms created by human beings. Rock carvings and stone circles found all over the world have the circular form and its variations such as spirals, crosses, concentric circles. Some archeologists think that these circles symbolise the sun or the rhythms of seasons, Mother Earth or a shamanic point of entry into a spiritual dimension.  Painting mandalas can help you focus your attention. That’s why they’re a great exercise for calming down when you're stressed. Here are some benefits of mandalas: The way all the shapes and designs are laid out brings a feeling of balance. They bring peace and tranquillity. Looking at them will give you a feeling of calmness and balance. They help with concentration. They make it easier to be mindful. They let your creativity flow. When your wonderful work will be completed, you will be guided through a shamanic meditation to reconnect with your inner centre. Shamanic meditation is simple, even for beginners. It is similar to eastern meditation practices, but it doesn't concentrate on leaving behind the stress of daily life. Instead, it focuses on using a spiritual connection to heal these worldly concerns in their roots.
