Designed to identify and discuss Personal Protective Equipment, correct hand hygiene, standard precautions when working with customers, dealing with sharps, COSHH and a brief look at specific infections.
Where an organisation’s risk assessment of First Aid needs identifies that there is a requirement for Emergency First Aid at Work practitioners, then this national Award in Emergency First Aid at Work satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body for First Aid – the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). All learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aider’s that can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner. This training takes place at our Birmingham Training Centre on the Hagley Road in Edgbaston.
This course is suited to those who are involved in the planning, provision, and assistance of meals for those in care. It provides a solid insight into the basics of good nutrition as well as providing practical guidance for how to put these into practice within a care setting. Learners will also look briefly at Food Hygiene. This subject forms standard 8 in The Care Certificate.

Infections can be easily spread, but by understanding the correct steps to take, the risk of their occurrence can be both prevented and controlled.
