In the modern world we do not take enough time to relax. We are woken up abruptly by our alarms, we leave no time to daydream, and when we feel those natural lulls in the day, mid-morning and mid-afternoon, we power through with chocolate or a coffee. Being in a relaxed state, and specifically a Theta brainwave state, is vital for human beings for a number of reasons. In this state our cells repair, our nervous system restores, we recover from stress and process grief. As our current lifestyles allow us very little time in this state, our cell regeneration can go awry and our stress and grief can go unchecked. This Sound Bath has been designed to encourage you to achieve a deep relaxed Theta state for the majority of the session, the result of which can be incredibly calming and nourishing for your whole system. So bring a Yoga or exercise mat to lie on, a blanket, your cosiest socks and book now as there are limited spots available! Event Schedule 18:45 Doors open Ceremonial Cacao and herbal tea is served  19:00 Sound Bath introduction 19:15 Sound Bath commences 20:00 Sound Bath concludes 20:15 All guests to depart *Please arrive no later than 19:00    Contraindiactions Whilst both Ceremonial Cacao and Sound Therapy are safe on the whole, like many therapeutic treatments and medicines, there are a few contraindications to be aware of. With this in mind please read the below and if booking for more than one person please forward this email on so everyone is aware and in turn looked after.     Ceremonial Cacao Contraindications Between 6.45pm and 7pm there will be optional Ceremonial Cacao served, which can enhance your experience of the Sound Bath. If choosing to drink some of the cacao provided as part of your ticket, please make sure you are well hydrated before coming to the session, as cacao can be dehydrating (a little like tea and coffee). If you are on MAOI based antidepressants, cacao naturally contains tyramine, which is contraindicative of your medication. Cacao is not suitable for anyone with serious heart conditions, low blood pressure, or anyone on blood thinning or blood pressure lowering medication, as it is a vasodilator. It is also not suitable for anyone pregnant or breastfeeding. The cacao served during ceremonies is 20g per serving (based on one cup per person). The recommended daily dosage should not exceed 50g. The cacao will be made with 100% pure cacao, water and coconut milk. If you have any contraindications or allergies there will also be a variety of herbal teas available for your perusal.    Sound Therapy Contraindications The only absolute contraindication for Sound Therapy is if you are in the first trimester of pregnancy. Although there is no evidence that sound therapy would do any harm to an unborn child this is a standard requirement for insurance purposes across most holistic practices.   If you suffer with Epilepsy or seizures please let the host know in advance of the event. It is unlikely the sound frequencies used would trigger a seizure but by letting the host know we can ensure your needs are met. The Sound Bath itself is designed to encourage you into a deep state of relaxation that can produce imagery. With this in mind if you suffer with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety the Sound Bath could be triggering. If this is a concern please contact the host directly and we are happy to chat this through with you. It is very rare, but occasionally sound frequencies set unsympathetic resonance with metal implants in the body. There is no problem with this, but if you do have metal plates in your body please let the host know upon arrival so we can check in advance if your implant causes any pain or discomfort. If you require lifesaving medication please let the host know upon arrival so we can ensure your needs are met also.    Inclusivity Policy This event is for anyone 16 years+ unfortunately children under 16 are not permitted. I am a glass artist who's been designing and creating bespoke contemporary stained glass commissions since 1998. I love to create glass pieces that are pulled in from the things around me that inspire me in life. I would love to help you create your own glass piece of your choice to take home with you at the end of our workshop together. A perfect follow-on course for those who have already completed an introductory darkroom printing course, or who have a reasonable level of B&W darkroom printing experience. Please bring B&W negatives (35mm or medium format) that relate to each other in some way (subject matter, tonal range, environment etc.) as we will be making a number of prints that can be read as a series. Please note: This course only covers the printing of images and participants should therefore bring previously processed negatives and if you have one, a printed contact sheet along to the session. All other materials (including a range of papers) will be provided. Class sizes are currently limited to 4 participants to enable social distancing throughout the course. Week 1 Capture, technical notes, discussions, art context Understand the fundamentals of light and time in balancing an accurate exposure; No longer be a slave to the Auto setting! Learn how to utilise the Manual functions of your 35mm SLR camera including aperture, shutter speed, film speed and metering. Understand depth of field, composition and creative photo-making techniques; Appreciate photography within an art context – Begin to look at the work of other photographers Assignment: You will be given one roll of B&W film to be shot for the second week Week 2 Film processing Learn how to process B&W film by hand in Stills’ darkrooms. We will discuss different film types and chemistry, as well as best practice procedures for film handling. Appreciating photography within an art context-Sally Mann. Week 3 Contact Printing Gain an appreciation of general darkroom procedures;understand how to set up your enlarger and make a contact print using the traditional analogue method; learn how to make 8×10″ work prints using the single filter printing method. All paper and chemistry will be provided. Week 4 Darkroom printing This last session will allow participants to keep on printing with some one to one attention. 2 Day Course - Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage, Modelling and Post Op Care - Nurture Touch Method SERVICE DESCRIPTION What is the difference between Vodder and Brazilian MLD? The main difference between the two methods lies in their approach and purpose. Vodder MLD is a clinical treatment that focuses on the manual stimulation of the lymph nodes, combining slow, circular, and scoop-like motions to move the lymphatic fluid towards the larger lymphatic vessels for proper drainage and filtration. Vodder MLD is commonly used to treat conditions such as lymphedema. Brazilian MLD is primarily designed for cosmetic purposes and is performed to enhance the appearance of the skin and reduce water retention in the body.
