The Mentor Circle

The Mentor Circle is a mission-led organisation set up by Tunde Yusuff with a talented group of business owners and professionals from diverse backgrounds. In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic as well as widening inequality in the UK, we believe young people now more than ever need mentorship and guidance from business leaders. Access to business events, conferences and paid mentoring is usually unattainable for those from lower income backgrounds and we’re here to change that. We want to ensure that our young people aren’t forgotten in this changing economy. We believe in injecting positivity back into our communities that are so in need of hope. Prior to the coronavirus outbreak, according to official statistics “the youth unemployment rate was 11.9%, compared to an unemployment rate of 3.9% for the whole population”. We anticipate that youth unemployment will be significantly higher as a result of the outbreak and we want to equip young people with the skills, confidence and inspiration they need to adapt.
