About Sustainable Fibre Alliance
The Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA) is a global non-profit organisation that works to promote responsible and sustainable production practices in the cashmere industry. We work with herding communities, domestic industries, and other stakeholders in Mongolia and China to provide training in rangeland stewardship, animal welfare, and clean fibre processing and to implement the SFA Cashmere Standard. Through our work, the SFA aims to support the long-term viability of the cashmere sector and contribute to the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Brands and retailers in the cashmere industry can become members of the SFA to support its mission and gain access to various benefits and resources.
