Orange Beak Studio

Orange Beak Studio was founded in 2017 from a desire to work closely with illustrators and authors, to share knowledge and offer insight and encouragement for creatives. The co-founders of Orange Beak Studio are: Maisie Paradise Shearring an award-winning internationally published author and illustrator Ness Wood an award-winning designer and art director ​ Orange Beak Studio Associates: Alice Corrie is a freelance children's book editor working on picture books, fiction and non-fiction. Katie Harnett is an award-winning internationally published author and illustrator. Louise Grosart has been working in children’s publishing for over a decade and edits picture books, non-fiction and fiction The Orange Beak Studio tutors have varied but complimentary skills. Maisie, Ness, Alice, Katie and Lou are all practising specialists in their fields of illustration, design and editorial respectively. In addition to this, both Maisie and Ness have teaching experience at post-graduate level.
