<p>When the sun sets it doesn&rsquo;t mean that you need to stop taking photographs. The Night Time Experience is designed for photographers who understand the fundamentals of exposure and now want to explore creativity in a different way.</p>
<p>A tripod is a must for night-time photography as we look at different ways you can use the available light from the street, vehicles or even the stars to illuminate a scene and create a terrific image that you would want to share.</p>
<p>The workshop is very much reliant on the dry weather as we will usually be working with long exposures and some aspects, such as star trails, require a cloudless evening so whilst the agenda for the session isn&rsquo;t fixed, the techniques you will learn can be applied to many other forms of low light photography.</p>
<p>To get the most benefit from this workshop you will need to understand how to use the manual functions on your camera. If you are unsure, we would recommend you attend the Switch to Manual session first.</p>

        <p> This course studies the new SMPTE ST 2110 suite of
          standards. The course covers all parts of the standard

          moves on to PTP and synchronisation. Video

Definitive IP CCTV for engineers

<p>We'll meet in the centre of Edinburgh at the Grassmarket where we'll say a quick hello and jump right in. I'll explain a little about the settings on your camera so that you'll hit the ground running and get some great photographs of this amazing city. From the Grassmarket we'll move on to get photographs of the incredible Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile Cockburn Street. The tour is tailored to your ability level and is aimed at beginners wishing to use manual mode. We will cover white balance, exposure, composition etc and I'll aim to get you comfortable in taking your photography to the next level. You'll get a good walk, but most importantly some great photographs and the skills to start developing your own style.</p>
<p>Social Distancing will be adhered to as per Scottish Government guidelines to keep us all safe.</p>
<p>We'll start in the Grassmarket at The Vennel where there is a well photographed view of Edinburgh Castle - from there we'll move up to Victoria Street for a romantic view of the colourful street below . Working our way down some of the Royal Mile, we'll visit some of the quaint alleyways. It focuses on helping organisations move away from traditional PM processes and work hard at reinventing them under a different name and approach aimed at supporting and collaborating to help both the Manager/Leader and the colleague.</p><p style="color: rgb(33, 33, 33); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;" fr-original-style=" color: rgb(33, 33, 33);">Historically, PM sessions have been held every six months or even annually, which, in our opinion, is no good. PM meetings are often treated with little importance and an almost tick-box attitude. This clearly does not help either party, so we focus very much on changing that.</p><p style="color: rgb(33, 33, 33); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;" fr-original-style=" color: rgb(33, 33, 33);">In our opinion, the PM meeting should be an opportunity for both parties to discuss what is best for each other. We should be mindful of job descriptions and realistic expectations and consider various situations both at work and for the individual.</p><p style="color: rgb(33, 33, 33); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;" fr-original-style=" color: rgb(33, 33, 33);">We discuss the importance of &#39;facilitating&#39; feedback instead of just giving it. Our Performance Management (PM) workshop is based on Emotional Intelligence (EI). It focuses on helping organisations move away from traditional PM processes and work hard at reinventing them under a different name and approach aimed at supporting and collaborating to help both the Manager/Leader and the colleague.
Historically, PM sessions have been held every six months or even annually, which, in our opinion, is no good. PM meetings are often treated with little importance and an almost tick-box attitude. This clearly does not help either party, so we focus very much on changing that.
In our opinion, the PM meeting should be an opportunity for both parties to discuss what is best for each other. We should be mindful of job descriptions and realistic expectations and consider various situations both at work and for the individual.
We discuss the importance of 'facilitating' feedback instead of just giving it. We explore our 'Reasoning Questions' to show how they work, why they are critical and what benefits they bring.
We discuss the usefulness of a Skills Matrix and various other tools to help both parties work towards the common goal of producing the best possible output under the best conditions.

What comes under the banner of Neurodiversity?
Neurodiversity includes Autism, ADHD, ADD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia, Dysgraphia and other conditions. 
Allow flexibility and creative engagement with induction and on-boarding. Discuss and agree on identified training needs and time frames. Ensure the immediate supervisor or line manager understands the workplace adjustments and support required to best enable the employee in the context of their neurodiversity.
Just because someone is diagnosed or has symptoms which come under Neurodiversity, it does not mean you can find a way to communicate and behave towards them all. 
We make reasonable adjustments to help people with all sorts of different needs. For those with a sore back, we may ensure they can have the right chair. Perhaps, like my sister, they are partially sighted, so you may offer speech-to-text technology on their PC and various accommodations for those who use a wheelchair, and so on. 
These are just a few of the many things that considerate and inclusive organisations do for their colleagues.

M03 - Specialised and Advanced Phlebotomy Equipment:
The centrifuge - overview. Safe operation and use. Managing a centrifuge breakage or spillage.
Equipment and practices in unusual situations.
Patients with special needs and requiring specific attention.
Equipment preparation for blood samples that are collected at
0 degrees, 37 degrees C and other non-standard conditions.
A look at advances in technology and how to use the latest devices.

2 - Syringe and Needle (open system): Correct use and applications.
3 - Monovette (open and closed systems):
Using the Monovette system in aspiration mode - correct use and applications.
Using the Monovette system in evacuated mode - correct use and applications.
4 - IR Vein Detector:
Demonstration of the IR vein detector for assisting in detection of difficult veins.
5 - Veins in back of hand:
Detecting suitable veins in the back of the hand.
6 - POC testing:
Point of Care Testing - use of glucose meter to demonstrate a typical POC test procedure. Correct use and overview of other POC test devices.
7 - Using lancets (finger collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for POC testing and whole blood micro-collection.
8 - Using lancets (heel collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for neonatal blood spot tests (Guthrie Test).
9 - Capillary collection
Using glass capillary tubes for micro-collection. Correct use and handling.
10 - Microtube collection
Correct use of BD Microtainers (and similar micro-collection bottles) - collection and handling.

This Vaccination / Injection Course is a nurse or paramedic-led half-day session covering all essential theory and practical skill-sets required to deliver effective Intramuscular, Intradermal and Subcutaneous injections / vaccinations.
 
PART 1 - THEORY (online)
Delegates will fully understand the theory and will be able to demonstrate they can identify the correct patient, gain consent and safely administer a vaccine or injection, conforming to WHO and Skills for Health recommended standards.

How do I attend?

EITHER -
CLASSROOM OPTION - Complete your theory training online at home or work, then attend one of our scheduled classroom locations, completing your Peripheral IV Cannulation Course and your Injection Course on the same day.
Our Peripheral IV Cannulation Course and Injection Course training kits are supplied at no charge when booking our virtual classroom training option.
If you would like to add one or both of these kits to your classroom training option then these are available for you to add at time of booking. Training kits mirror the same equipment and supplies used in the classroom and both include detailed video instructions, allowing you to continue to practice and "hone" your skills after you have completed your practical training.

OR -

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM OPTION- Complete your theory training online at home or work, then join us for your one full day to complete your cannulation and injection course training.

Our Virtual Classroom option includes two very comprehensive training kits - one for your cannulation course and one for your injection course. Kits are included at no charge (normally £79.95 and £39.95 respectively) and are yours to keep and to continue to practice with after you have finished your courses. The equipment and supplies included in your kits are the same as those used if you choose the classroom option.

If you already have phlebotomy skills (or decide to enroll on our phlebotomy training course) then you will be able to offer your clients Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatments, also known as Vampire Facials. Our PRP (Vampire Facials) Course trains you in the harvesting, preparation and treatment of PRP for application to your clients as required. We offer both classroom and virtual classroom options for this course and a comprehensive Practise@Home Training Kit is provided for our virtual classroom option. What is your refund policy?
We can accept cancellations up until 48 hours before we begin. We regret, as we are a small CIC, that we cannot take cancellations via email but ask that you log into Eventbrite to cancel your ticket should it be necessary.
Do I need any special equipment?
No, you need something to take a photograph on, a valid email address and a strong internet connection so that we can communicate over zoom. You would benefit from downloading an app called www.padlet.com to your device but this is not essential. The extension project is entirely optional.
What happens after the week long project is finished?
You will be invited into a community project or if you live in North Yorkshire you might like to book a 1:1 session with me. Personalised sessions start at £49:99 per person.
Do I have to be a photographer?
Absolutely not, we assume no prior experience of photography.
Is this like therapy?
We are not therapists but the process has a gentle and calming effect upon your wellbeing. We will be engaging in simple tasks to encourage mindfulness. We do ask that you are well and happy to engage in a small group session online. We embody respect in our work and we ask that you do the same.
Will you be using my images?
We never share your images unless you specifically ask for us to. Your image and copyright remains your own.
