Are you ready to design for the metaverse?
We will introduce you to working digitally and take you through the process of
developing a fashion project through the use of technology. It will cover idea
development, research, digital sketchbook creation, experimental draping (in CLO
3D), digital print design, garment design (CLO 3D), and final outcome
presentation.
CLO 3D is a software used to create virtual garments and as a sustainable
sampling method by many fashion brands. By the end of the week, you will have
produced a collection of 2 looks, incorporating your own print designs and
presented in a setting you have created; as well as a documentation of the
process.
This course is inclusive of male and gender-neutral designs.
You will learn:
• Idea development and research
• Digital sketchbook creation
• CLO 3D software (experimental drapinig and garment design)
• Digital print design
Whilst learning valuable skills such as:
• Communication
• Fashion design
• Fabric knowledge
• Embellishment
• Accuracy
• Machine and hand sewing
You will leave with:
• Design development files
• Two digital looks and print designs
• Digital landscape created by you
• A digital certificate of completion
What You Need:
• Students must arrive with packed lunches, snacks and a re-usable bottle of
water each day.
• Laptops required for this programme.
