An online  gathering at the Soul Shed to journey into your inner world through forest story.
The clearing in the centre of the forest is a magical place of transformation and one where new contact can be made with the creatures and characters of our inner world.
If you are new to intuitive creativity, and The Soul Shed approach to exploring, know that you need no experience to participate in these sessions apart from in being you! Bring your curiosity and imagination, and the forest clearing will contain what you need, as a map and a mirror to learn about yourself in a gentle non-intrusive way.
Supported by the trees of the forest,  we will find this space within and take our time here, meeting with achetypal characters like Red Riding Hood, Woodcutter, Wolf, Green man and woman, Rapunzel,  Prince and Sleeping Beauty, discerning which of these beings wants to share their wisdom with each of us.

What is your refund policy?
We can accept cancellations up until 48 hours before we begin. We regret, as we are a small CIC, that we cannot take cancellations via email but ask that you log into Eventbrite to cancel your ticket should it be necessary.
Do I need any special equipment?
No, you need something to take a photograph on, a valid email address and a strong internet connection so that we can communicate over zoom. You would benefit from downloading an app called www.padlet.com to your device but this is not essential. The extension project is entirely optional.
What happens after the week long project is finished?
You will be invited into a community project or if you live in North Yorkshire you might like to book a 1:1 session with me. Personalised sessions start at £49:99 per person.
Do I have to be a photographer?
Absolutely not, we assume no prior experience of photography.
Is this like therapy?
We are not therapists but the process has a gentle and calming effect upon your wellbeing. We will be engaging in simple tasks to encourage mindfulness. We do ask that you are well and happy to engage in a small group session online. We embody respect in our work and we ask that you do the same.
Will you be using my images?
We never share your images unless you specifically ask for us to. Your image and copyright remains your own.

We reflect on our practises and discuss our experiences of home practice. We learn about aspects of stress reduction and the neuroscience of mindfulness and complete a new practice each week. The mindfulness practices include guided meditations and some gentle movement.&nbsp;</p><p style="color: rgba(26, 26, 26, 0.7); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;" fr-original-style=" color: rgba(26, 26, 26, 0.7);"><strong fr-original-style="" style="font-weight: 700; box-sizing: border-box;">What is home practice?&nbsp;</strong></p><p style="color: rgba(26, 26, 26, 0.7); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;" fr-original-style=" color: rgba(26, 26, 26, 0.7);">Each week we learn a new practice together during the session and participants are given an audio recording of that practice to complete at home. This is because it takes 8 weeks of consistent practice for the benefits of mindfulness to take place. To really get the most out of this course, participants are advised to make space for home practice. <p>During this course, you will develop an in-depth personal experience of mindfulness meditation and dynamic breathing techniques and learn to build the foundations of a sustained personal practice, with a view to applying this in your life. The programme will consist of 6 x 100-minute sessions on Monday evenings, with a focus on background information, personal reflection and - most importantly - practice. Each session will build on the previous one, and homework exercises and recorded practices will be given out each week. You will go away with a 70-page handbook full of background information, poetry and guided practices plus you will gain access to an online podcast with guided practices led by your Mindfulness coach. The course will be delivered on&nbsp;<strong>Zoom</strong>&nbsp;and you will have the opportunity to share experiences of the practices with a community of learners, all from the comfort of your own home.</p>

<p>Dr Ross Deuchar has a PhD in Education and Sociology from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and has over 25 years of experience of working in education and with clients in business, social care and penal settings. He is a certified Mindfulness Meditation Practitioner, having completed his training in this area with Mindfulness Scotland, whose teacher training course has been accredited by the UK Network of Mindfulness Training Organisations. He has been practising mindfulness meditation for almost a decade and also engages in a daily dynamic breathing practice. As well as being a Mindfulness and Breathing coach, he is a certified Life Coach, NLP Practitioner and Fitness Instructor.</p>
