My name is Jess Hindley and I'm a Fitness, Dance Performance and Mindset Coach from Manchester in the UK. I am a Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Consultant, with experience teaching both online and in-person workshops with clients from all over the world. My passion for fitness and mindset stems from my journey through the world of Irish dance where I competed for 20 years from the age of 6 to 26, then went on to perform professionally with the World-renowned show Riverdance. My dreams as a young dancer were always to become a World Champion and to perform with Riverdance. There were many times when I thought my dreams were not in reach, and it was only with the help of incredible teachers and mindset coaches that I found the confidence to believe in myself as a dancer and a person. After 19 years, I was finally crowned World Champion in 2018 and in the same year performed with Riverdance for Pope Francis at Croke Park in front of 80,000 people. Since then I retained my World title in 2019 and went on to perform with Riverdance in Singapore, Ireland and the UK before our 25th anniversary tour was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Like many people, I found navigating the pandemic very difficult but turned to my passion for fitness for a new goal to strive for. After many cancelled practical sessions and challenges relating to Covid-19, I was so excited to qualify as a Level 3 Personal Trainer and Nutrition Consultant in early 2022. My goal is to pass on everything I've learned both through my qualifications and my many years experience in a competitive and professional dance setting. I hope I can make a difference to my clients' lives just as my teachers and mentors did for me.

Frustrated by existing awareness training that seeks to convince corporations that queer people belong in a faulty system, rather than demanding meaningful change, our bespoke workshops and expert consultancy brings together gender studies, philosophy, racial justice and the law to educate, inspire and give our clients the tools to create positive change. Our clients are disrupters, influencers and architects of change, passionate about trans and non-binary liberation and are unafraid to use their voice to make a difference. Breaking Binaries is lead by Finn Grice (He/They), a proudly queer, trans masculine LGBTQA+ sector expert, advocate and policy researcher, who has been disrupting the status quo from an early age, leading his peers to use their voices to create change.

For the first time, ALSG is holding a virtual conference which given many of us are trying to catch up post pandemic (fingers crossed) as well as working, to then attend a conference this year seemed a lot to be asking. The conference theme is ‘How to be an even better ALSG instructor’ and we’ve got some fantastic speakers delivering some really great content specifically designed to support our instructors and centres. Whilst there are a few sessions yet to be finalised, the programme so far will examine issues such as looking after yourself and your team, the effects of sleep deprivation on performance, as well as clinical matters such as changes in the UK to the major incident triage process and insights into pain and sedation management in children. Welcome to Zumba® Fitness Cheadle Hulme and Poynton, fun classes to learn Zumba®, meet new people, lose weight, get fit, tone up and all whilst having a great time! I have danced all my life, qualifying to teach Ballet, Tap and Modern with the N.A.T.D. However, through traveling, I never got the opportunity to settle down and set up my own dance studio. Nevertheless, I always found a local dance class and joined in. As time passed, sadly I have found there are less dance classes available for adults. Then I joined Anne Hill's Zumba® Fitness class and found a dance based exercise I loved! I enjoyed it so much, the music, the easy to follow steps (and with the encouragement of Anne), I decided to join the ZIN™ party and now I am B1, Pro Skills and Zumba® Gold qualified instructor. ZIN™. Further qualifications in the pipeline. I run 5 classes a week: 3 (at The Methodist Church, Ramillies Avenue, Cheadle Hulme) Tuesdays Zumba® Fitness at 10:00am and 6:15pm and Thursdays (Zumba Gold®) mornings at 10:00am. 1 class (Civic Hall, Park Lane, Poynton) Tuesdays (Zumba Gold®) at 11:30am 1 class (the Hockley Centre, 307 Park Road, Poynton) Wednesdays (Zumba Gold®) at 10:00am. The idea of The Nile Language School came from Egyptian families hoping to teach their children the Arabic language the same way as we learn in our home countries with the integration of English culture and language. Our children are deprived of the ability to learn the Arabic language once a week for two hours which is not enough for them to become fluent in the language. Additionally, parents at home may not have time to practise the language with their children; the lack of experience can lead to children feeling unmotivated to learn Arabic. We are planning to take the students on an educational trip in the near future to consolidate their knowledge by completing different activities; visiting museums to link English and Arabic culture together. Due to the pandemic we was able to provide lessons online due to the inability to conduct face-to-face lessons. This received many positive comments we will continue to give the option of online lesson whilst also providing the option of face-to-face lessons. This means students from all around the UK can join classes. We are based in Manchester but our school teach students from all different in the UK and outside of the UK. We provide lessons begging from Reception to A-level as we are a qualified centre to give GCSE and A-Level qualifications. We also teach Arabic for non-native speakers. We teach the Egyptian syllabus and welcome all backgrounds to join our school.

Hi I’m Kate, I set up Sew Creative in 2016, however a lot of my customers are often surprised to hear that I haven’t always loved sewing - in fact I even paid one of my friends to sew my Year 7 Textiles project for me, then ditched the subject as soon as I was allowed in the following year! I eventually learnt to sew when I made the decision to study Fashion Design in Manchester. After my degree I worked in the fashion industry in both London and New York, before heading back up North to train to be a Textiles teacher and settle in Altrincham. Whilst teaching, I started to advertise sewing classes - it was originally just a way to earn a little extra money. I started on a table in Hobbycraft with a couple of old machines and some bits and pieces from my personal fabric stash. I sat there for several weeks, with no customers or interest, and was about to give up when Sue (now a member of staff!), my first ever customer, approached me asking if I’d teach her how to make her own patterns - and Sew Creative was born! Alex MANAGER Alex joined the Sew Creative team having left teaching in February 2020, just two weeks before the first National Lockdown! When she was a teacher, she taught social science, so sewing was a bit of a change! Alex sews most of her own clothes and can usually be found wearing at least one me-made item in store during the week. Alex teaches our adult classes as well as our teenagers. She is also the shop’s manager, so if you need anything, she is always happy to help! You can find her on Instagram @sewalexfaye "My favourite thing about being able to sew is making things that fit me properly. I'm almost 6ft tall so finding ready to wear trousers and dresses the right length has always been a challenge.Now I just make them to fit my body rather than the other way around!" Dawn TUTOR Dawn has been with us at Sew Creative for two years now and has become the heart and soul of the shop. Dawn is our resident neat-freak so she keeps us all nice and ship-shape. Dawn has been sewing for years and regularly makes herself gorgeous dresses and coats. Dawn can be found teaching our adults on a Tuesday and our Saturday classes. She is warm of heart and always up for a good natter! Jayne TUTOR Jayne joined Sew Creative in September 2020, in the midst of a Global Pandemic has has taken the rollercoaster ride like a true pro. Jayne’s career has been in lingerie design and she has worked with some of the biggest names in the biz! Jayne sews her won clothes, and loves making tailored trousers, she is always the picture of sophistication! Jayne works most weekdays and every other Saturday, teaching our kids and adult classes. She also teaches our Monday night adult lesson! George CHIEF EXECUTIVE George is the newest and most adorable member of the Sew Creative team. He’s not old enough to sew yet, but can often be found in the shop sporting a mum-made outfit. You’ll also find his full modelling portfolio on Instagram, where you are guaranteed a regular dose of cuteness. He keeps Eric and Dotty very busy and despite being so small, is always the centre of attention! We’re all convinced he’ll be the next Patrick Grant! Eric HEAD OF SECURITY Hi, I’m Eric. I can often be found guarding the front door at Sew Creative. While I might look big, tough and scary, I am actually quite a lovely chap. I love treats, cuddles, any food that you might be eating, and more cuddles. Please feel free to pick me up and cuddle me, instead of doing any sewing. I look forward to meeting you soon. Thank you. Dotty THE DUCHESS Hi, I’m Dotty. I am pretty shy, but if you’re quiet and gentle I will come for some cuddles. I can often be found sleeping in my basket, or following my Mum around - just to make sure that she’s still there! Volunteers and Party Facilitators In addition to our part and full time members of staff, Sew Creative also has a team of amazing volunteers who help us out every week. Lisa, Sue , Catherine and Liz can be found lending a helping hand in our kids and adults classes, alongside some of our teen sewers who give up their precious weekends to work with us! Evie and Daisy have been sewing with us for years and as they have grown up, have proven themselves to be very capable seamstresses. Both ladies are excellent with kids and adults alike!
