In the last few years, all key elements of our lives have changed beyond recognition.  Our workplaces are no longer a massive office building, we now have a hybrid working system and many of us now work from home.  We’ve been through the isolation of the pandemic, the cost-of-living crisis, and the dreadful rise in inflation, pushing mortgages through the roof. Everyone’s mental health has been challenged in some way.

Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAiders®) are vital to helping boost employee wellbeing as we adjust to a completely changed workplace environment.

The course is split into four modules. The course can be delivered over 2 days or over 4 half days if virtual delivery is preferred.

Modules cover important mental health subjects such as:

• The impact of mental health
• Stigma
• Prevalence and risk factors
• The MHFA action plan
• Stress
• Depression
• Suicide
• Substance misuse
• Non judgemental listening
• Anxiety
• Eating disorders
• Self harm
• Psychosis -Schizophrenia and Bipolar disorder

Everyone who attends this MHFAider course receives a comprehensive manual for reference, a certificate of attendance, a quick reference guide to the MHFAider action plan, and a workbook containing useful information.  You will also have access to the new MHFA Support App, to help and assist you with not only supporting others, but to ensure your own mental health is looked after.
