Located on Walker Avenue in Discovery, Little Minions Academy is a private preschool caring for children ages 3 month old through Grade R. Our state-of-the-art facilities include a preschool library, outdoor playground / sprinklers, garden, and all classrooms with natural light. We are currently accepting registration forms. The school hours are from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm and during this time follows a set routine. We offer enrichment classes through our suppliers, such as Monkeynastix, drama, pottery, Abacus Maths, and soccer! Established as a preschool in 1970, it has been under new management of Little Minions Academy since 1 September 2016, to respond to the growing need for quality, affordable, private preschool education in the area. The school is founded by a husband and wife, who are committed to providing our parents with high quality services. The Film and Video Workshop is an educational charity founded in June 1997 by Simon Oatley. Our objective is the education of adults, children and young people in the art of film, video and other types of media. We aim to work particularly with those people who are in need by reason of disability, age or economic circumstance. The company has grown steadily since its formation and is now the largest producer of child and young people directed moving image work in the United Kingdom. Many of the films we have helped produce have been shown in international film festivals and some have won prestigious awards. Each year we work with approximately 1000 film makers and produce some 300 films. Past clients include Tate modern, Tate Britain, The National Portrait Gallery, Arts Council, Film London, Film Council, Skillset, Cartoon Museum, Learning and Skills Council, Tribal Education, London Development Agency, ten of the London councils, BBC, Channel 4 and Nickelodeon. Recent premiere screenings have been held at the London Imax Cinema and the Odeon West End. In addition we provide adult training, specialising in the creative use of digital technology. The current courses selection includes four video production courses, stop motion, animation techniques, after effects, Avid and FCP. We subsidise a selection of introduction courses to enable people to start filmmaking as well as provide CPD for professionals. All our courses have a 40% reduction for concessions. The media centre is open 6 days a week with over 80 weekly users. The company is managed by an unpaid board of directors to whom we are very grateful for their long standing support. What we do with your information Upon application for an internship the user information is kept by edcentric teaching and used in the following ways: Your personal details are used by us in order to apply for the services you book through us. For the most part your personal information will have to be sent to third parties in order for us to be able to offer the services stated by us on our website. Such third parties include but are not limited to local governing bodies in China, the PSB and the Chinese embassy or high commission. We will never profit from the sale of your personal information to other parties. CV's and all other documents related to the education/teaching/work background of our customers are sent onto our partnering schools so that they can look through all of our internship candidates. As all our partnering schools are based at the kindergarten level we strive to ensure high quality throughout but this does cut both ways. Whilst we strive to vet our partnering schools to ensure a high quality service to our budding TEFL'ers, so must we keep the interests of the schools and institutions we work with and the young learners that attend them front and centre by ensuring that we provide teachers with a strong moral compass and of sound mind. We may ask for classroom demos, personal introduction videos or maybe just live recordings of a video call. They are for the purpose of being sent to our partnering schools and kindergartens upon their request of them. We may also on occasion wish to share your demo video on our website or one of our social platforms as an example for all others to follow. edcentric teaching will not ask permission for this but should you notice your video is live and wish for it be taken down we will comply with your request. Your payment details are never stored by us and they are only ever used in such cases as the banks and card processing agencies needing to authenticate and authorise a purchase made through our website by you. In January 1882, the rate collectors of Holborn invited their Metropolitan colleagues to a meeting to discuss the effect a projected reorganisation of London local government might have on their jobs and prospects. Some eighty officers attended and at a further meeting on the 25th February it was decided to form, with effect from the 1st April 1882, the Metropolitan Rate Collectors Association. As membership grew, the title was subsequently changed to the Association of Rate Collectors and Assistant Overseers in 1911. Changes in legislation resulted in a further change in title and in 1927, the Incorporated Association of Rating and Valuation Officers was established. The association was more commonly known as the Rating & Valuation Association (RVA) and no further change to the title was made until January 1990 when, with the impending introduction of Community Charge and National Non-Domestic Rate, we became known as the Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation (IRRV). A key aim of the Institute is to support its members’ professional and personal development and the sharing of best practice. We keep our members informed of current issues through our magazines, publications and a comprehensive website. Our conferences and meetings offer opportunities for networking with other professionals from the UK and overseas whilst the Forum Service continues to attract new organisations each year; the current membership now exceeding 200. We seek to influence the course of legislative and professional matters through dialogue with government bodies and other professional organisations and through commissioning and conducting original research. This is led by the Institute’s three Faculty Boards; Local Taxation and Revenues, Benefits and Valuation. The Institute has a membership of over 2,400 and offers a range of qualifications covering its professional fields. It is a nationally approved awarding body for its vocational and examination-based qualifications. Each year, in excess of 300 students sit our examinations and vocational assessments. Successful students join the thousands of IRRV qualified professionals currently working in both the public and private sector within the fields of revenues, benefits and valuation. To endeavour to ensure that each Student’s payment of Lesson Fees and the payment of each Tutor’s Tutor Fees are processed promptly and usually within 9 days of a Lesson, when there is no Complaint or Failed Payment. To endeavour to ensure that refunds to Students are made promptly in accordance with these terms and conditions.
