TWIC is the Local Environmental Records Centre (LERC) for south-east & part of central Scotland that collects, collates and disseminates information on wildlife in our area. TWIC is a focal point for biological recording and is working to increase our knowledge of the terrestrial, freshwater and marine wildlife throughout our area. We collate data from a wide range of sources and manage data on species, habitats and designated sites. Data from TWIC is used to support environmental decision making, education, site management, conservation, and research. TWIC supports Local Biodiversity Action Plan partnerships and acts as a regional node of the National Biodiversity Network [https://nbn.org.uk/]. TWIC provides support and opportunities for recorders and wildlife observers to develop their knowledge and skills through our training and events programme. We inspire people to record wildlife by giving talks and attending public events and Bioblitz. TWIC is a not-for-profit company and Scottish Charity. The Collective was set up to help local artists and makers earn a living through sharing their creative skills and passions with others. Its name comes from Loch Arienas, a beautiful and remote spot in the Morvern area of the Scottish Highlands. We believe that engaging in creative activity is good for our health and wellbeing. Our workshops suit beginners, returners and those who want to challenge their own creative practice. Group sizes are kept small, so that our artists and makers can give you the help and support you need to get the most from your experience. The value of outdoor learning opportunities for children and young people is undisputed... FSTC is one of the foremost suppliers of quality Forest School training since 2004 and delivers training throughout England and Scotland. We work with organisations such as The Forestry Commission (FC), Forest Education Network (FEN), Local Education Authorities and Wildlife Trusts. We train professionals such as teachers, Early Years practitioners, Countryside and Education Rangers, youth-workers and policy advisors.
