<p>This 5 full-day course presents the most modern statistical and mathematical forecasting frameworks used by practitioners to tackle the load forecasting problem across short time and long time scales. The course presents practical applications to solving forecasting challenges, supported by real life examples from large control areas. It presents the weather impacts on the load forecasts and the methodologies employed to quantify the weather effect and building a repository of weather normal data.</p>
<p>A good load forecast methodology must improve its forecasting accuracy and support a consistent load forecasting process. The load forecasting widely used in the power industry has evolved significantly with the advancement and adoption of Artificial Intelligence techniques such as Machine Learning.</p>
<p>With the increased penetration of inverter-based resources, the operation of electric grids grew in complexity, leading to load forecasts that are updated more frequently than once a day. Furthermore, several jurisdictions adopted a smaller granularity than the hourly load forecasts in the effort to reduce the forecasting uncertainties.</p>
<p>On the generation side, fuel forecasting professionals must meet energy requirements while making allowance for the uncertainty on both the demand and the supply side.</p>
<p>This training course will also feature a guest speaker, who is a Ph.D candidate to provide insights into the most modern aspects of Artificial Intelligence in the context of load forecasting.</p>

<p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">This 5-days comprehensive training not only an introduction into the issue associated with the development of oil and gas fields but also provides an in depth understanding of the issues to be considered in the development of these fields. The theme throughout this training course is Flow Assurance and Innovative Technologies. Each day consists of lectures in the morning and a hands-on workshop in the afternoon. The workshop allows the participants to appreciate the design process associated with field developments. Various software will be available during the workshop to predict Multiphase flows through wells, pipelines and risers, as well as evaluating reservoir production profiles using alternative technologies to develop reservoirs. Further software to assess Surge and environmental safety will also be available.</p>

<p>This <strong>4 half-day Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) course</strong> presents the principles and best practices of portfolio management in the upstream (E&amp;P) oil and gas industry. The VILT course is equally valuable for small independents, large integrated international companies and national oil companies.</p>
<p>The VILT course consists of presentations, case studies, illustrative practical exercises and syndicate discussions. Particular emphasis is given to pragmatic portfolio management approaches and solutions which can be implemented swiftly without recourse to major investments in planning and portfolio management software. The VILT course will draw on examples from your expert course leader's 35+ years' experience in the oil and gas industry as an explorationist, upstream vice-president and management consultant. Best Practice in Portfolio Management in Upstream Oil and Gas

Carbonate sequences are developed under the control not only of physical but also biological parameters and results in a variety of geometries that vary greatly in 3D. These intervals are also strongly affected by shallow to deep burial diagenetic process that modify the reservoir properties of the different facies and impact on the geometries and distribution of reservoir facies. Finally carbonate sequences are also often affected by fault and fracturing that strongly control the circulation of fluids within these sequences. Seismic can be often an excellent tool to map the different depositional settings and to understand the distribution, vertical and lateral variability of good reservoir intervals.<br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;"><br fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">This course introduces to the complexity associated to carbonate sequences and the best way to characterize them using 2D and 3D seismic. Several case studies from around the world will be also shown. In each module various examples from around the world and from different tectonic settings and different carbonate depositional settings will be shown. <p>The industry is surrounded with examples of poor Turnarounds, which have injured people and damaged businesses. If Turnarounds are not properly planned, managed and controlled, companies run the risks of serious safety and budget penalties, costly schedule delays and negative impacts on customers. No, you need something to take a photograph on, a valid email address and a strong internet connection so that we can communicate over zoom. You would benefit from downloading an app called www.padlet.com to your device but this is not essential. The extension project is entirely optional.
What happens after the week long project is finished?
You will be invited into a community project or if you live in North Yorkshire you might like to book a 1:1 session with me. Personalised sessions start at £49:99 per person.
Do I have to be a photographer?
Absolutely not, we assume no prior experience of photography.
Is this like therapy?
We are not therapists but the process has a gentle and calming effect upon your wellbeing. We will be engaging in simple tasks to encourage mindfulness. We do ask that you are well and happy to engage in a small group session online. We embody respect in our work and we ask that you do the same.
Will you be using my images?
We never share your images unless you specifically ask for us to. Your image and copyright remains your own.
Can I share your lesson content?

After being on the brink of burnout myself, I stumbled upon simple, yet life-changing self-help and relaxation tools. These quick, effective techniques helped me rebuild my resilience, reclaim my sense of self and navigate challenges with renewed strength. The transformation was so profound that I knew I had to share it with others—and that’s how The SHARE Project was born.
What is The SHARE Project?
The SHARE Project is built on a simple principle: you need to put your own oxygen mask on first!  By nurturing yourself, you’re better equipped to support your children. Through our four-week, live online workshop series, delivered via Zoom, you’ll discover practical tools to bring more calm and happiness into your daily life.
Here’s what you can expect:
Weekly Workshops:  Each week, we’ll introduce and practice a new tool designed to fit seamlessly into your life (just a few minutes a day, I promise!). These are not your typical “luxury spa day” suggestions — because let’s face it, who has time for that?  Instead, you’ll learn sustainable, go-to strategies that you can use anytime, anywhere, to boost your wellbeing, even in the midst of chaos.  You will also receive a mid-week email of encouragement between workshops and printables to help record and track your progress.
Ongoing Support:  In each session, we’ll review your progress, fine-tune your approach, and introduce the next tool.  This isn’t just a one-off workshop; it’s a journey of growth and connection.
Community Connection: You’ll be part of a supportive group of fellow SEN parents and carers who understand the unique challenges you face.  Together, we’ll share experiences, uplift each other, and grow stronger.
