Alice Goldsack is a graduate of Queens Road Art College and trained at Diana Porters studio for more than eighteen years. Her avant-garde style is sought after by the artistic and alternative customers familiar to her studio in Bristol, UK. Charlotte creates exquisite yet functional pieces of art for the kitchen to bring people together over food and be in the present moment. He was a leather worker by trade and, because of this, his hands were huge, hard and calloused – he could cusp a wasp in them without feeling its sting. As a child I knew he must be very important because his name, Stanley, was written on all his tools. Up until I was 6 years old I lived in Galston, Ayrshire, and just two doors down from my Grandparents. Ours was a quiet little cul-de-sac, except on days where I played my bright, plastic Fisher Price record player on the street corner. This was in the early 80’s, when we all played outside and scuffed knees and grubby nails were a sign of a good days play. I’d pick up pretty bits and bobs and pop them in my pockets to show my friends – some pretty stones, a handful of gooseberries, and once, the severed head of a pheasant that sent them scarpering and squealing. I just thought the feathers were beautiful. To this day, I still have a soft spot for pheasants.

Kintsugi Hope is a charity based in the UK striving to make a difference to peoples mental wellbeing. 'Kintsugi' (金継ぎ) is a Japanese technique for repairing pottery with seams of gold. The word means 'golden joinery' in Japanese. This repairs the brokenness in a way that makes the object more beautiful, and even more unique than it was prior to being broken. Instead of hiding the scars it makes a feature of them. We want to see a world where mental and emotional health is understood and accepted, with safe and supportive communities for everyone to grow and flourish.

The Chocolate Tart is a handmade chocolate school teaching the art of the chocolatier to anyone aged 10 -110. Our online chocolate shop offers a selection of handmade chocolate treats. Here you will find Lisa’s Taste of the West, Gold Award winning products. It was whilst cooking a dinner for HM Queen Elizabeth back in 2005 that the idea of starting a chocolate school was born! If Lisa is running your workshop ask her to tell you the story! The Chocolate Tart is based in Clevedon BS21 and operating out of various exciting venues in Clevedon, Bristol and North Somerset.
