You’ll learn how to layer shots, blend cocktails, pour and use a jigger. You’ll also become familiar with key bar tools and basic equipment * Learn the fundamentals of your favourite spirits and their origins to impress friends, customers and potential employers. We’ll cover vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskey and brandy. Learn directly from Leathersmith and London College of Fashion Lecturer, Georgie Tym. Who is 1-2-1 tuition for?1-2-1 tuition is ideal for those who want a tailor made session. An excellent choice if you’re looking to make a bag, pattern cutting, discuss your ideas or bag designs, or to engage in consultancy for your business. What to expect No matter your leather crafting dreams or goals, 1-2-1 tuition has you covered. Time: Sessions run from 10am - 4pm. There will be a light lunch served at midday and tea/ coffee breaks throughout. Location: Sessions can be run online or from the Workshop of Hands Of Tym in Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX16 9DH. Parking: Parking is available on the drive with easy access via the M40. Transport: Banbury train station is a 30 min walk. Trains run from both London Marylebone and Birmingham to Banbury in 50 minutes. We’re also well connected to Reading, Oxford, and Leamington Spa. WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE PRICE? Introduction to Inkle Loom Weaving' workshop in the beautiful setting of Fisherton Mill in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Learn how to plan your weaving project, set up your inkle loom ready for weaving and spend a day learning the basic weaving technique in this relaxed & informative beginners weaving workshop. All materials and equipment are provided and you will leave with a clear handout of notes and your first woven band, made from organic cotton and linen, available in a wide range of stunning colours.

Running either mornings or afternoons Nicola’s soap making workshop is for 1 or 2 people to make their own 100% natural cold pressed soaps the old fashioned way. We will run a soap making workshop on demand for either 1 or 2 people in Westwell, Kent. On the day you will: Learn about different soap making techniques, Understand the characteristics of various plant oils and their benefits to the skin, Learn the basics of essential oils, Make your own natural soap using the traditional ‘cold pressed’ method. To find out which soaps you can make, get in touch beforehand. All of the soaps are vegan friendly. You’ll need to leave the soap to cure for 6 weeks, after which you can either collect it or I can post it to you. As an added extra Nicola will prepare  a selection of natural, locally sourced herbal infusions for you to try out. A 3 hour workshop is £70 per person. This includes 10 bars of cold pressed soap and the postage to send them to you once they’ve cured. What's included in the price? Fashion! Skills! Knowledge! Trips! Talks! Students will be given a comprehensive view of the fashion industry through exclusive trips, tours, talks from industry experts and masterclasses. Why not book an optional afternoon tea at The Ivy to make this an even more memorable experience? Through a combination of years of experience and listening to our student’s feedback, we've extended our course to include more highlights and opportunities for our 12-18-year-old students to get to know their fashion family. In addition, there's a larger focus on experimental design and pattern cutting whilst building their fabric knowledge. This programme is non-residential. This course is inclusive of male and gender-neutral designs. You will learn how to: • Assume the role of the designer and develop your own ideas into a design • Complete a fashion brief written by a design house. • Work with Ex LFW designer fabrics • Create mood boards and learn why designers use them • Pattern cut, sew and construct your own garment • Take your first steps into the fashion industry You’ll attend: • Talks from guest speakers within the industry • Industry professionals and careers talk • Tour around Jimmy Choo Academy including portfolio talk and insight into their programme • Sustainable fashion factory visit • Trips to museums/galleries Whilst learning valuable skills such as: • Communication • Fashion design • Fabric knowledge • Embellishment • Accuracy • Machine and hand sewing You will leave with: • Design development sheets • Your own mood boards • An outfit designed and made by yourself • A digital certificate of completion Level: Beginner Friendly INSTRUCTIONS • Students must arrive with packed lunches, snacks and a re-usable bottle of water each. • All materials and sewing equipment are provided for this workshop.
