The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) qualification is specifically designed for people who wish to act as a first aider in their workplace or at home. Our courses are suitable for anyone aged 16+, however delegates should be physically able to conduct the practical elements of the course such as CPR, manual handling casualties etc. Please note that access to our training centre is via several steps and that there is no lift or lifting facilities.

I teach guitar in Barrhead but can also travel to Newton Mearns, Williamwood, Clarkston, Govan, Neilston, Paisley, Glasgow, Pollockshaws and most local areas to teach you in your own home. Teaching times are limited so I usually ask for you to come to me...but I do offer a travel out service should you not be able to make it to my home studio for whatever reason with a prior arrangement and minor extra charge for fuel and lost teaching time etc. This is usually continual unless/untill you decide to change. I actually travel as far as Edinburgh as I teach with Yamaha Music School Edinburgh, and from time to time Stirling and Ayr. So, technically I cover most of the central belt and south to mid Scotland. :)

Hi, I'm Sarah, a 200hr registered yoga teacher.   I completed my yoga teacher training with Zenways in 2017 and have undergone additional training, including a 50hr yin yoga CPD course.   I believe yoga is for everyone and therefore my classes are suitable for all levels.  I primarily teach slow flow/hatha/yin yoga (sometimes a combination!) and change the theme of each class to suit the time of year etc.  Mindfullness and meditation are incorporated into each class alongside breathwork to help bring about a sense of balance, peace and overall wellbeing in both body and mind.

Alien Spoons? Well it’s easy to remember…and some of the knife grips feel a bit alien when you first try them. I teach the traditional craft of spoon carving using local and sustainable wood to make spoons and other utensils, coat hooks, bowls, etc. I provide training and workshops for people to learn how to use just an axe, a wood carving knife and a spoon knife to make spoons and other treen. Available for small groups, 1-2-1 training and events. Workshops from two hours to two days can be tailored to your requirements. Please call to find out more. After leaving school, I took up a career as a Quantity Surveyor, but turned to holistic therapies when I became pregnant with my second daughter. I decided to hang up my hard hat and rigger boots and concentrate on cards, crystals and therapies which would improve our way of living. I have two beautiful daughters who have both benefitted greatly from my involvement in holistic therapies. Our family life too, has become less stressful and we are more mindful of each other, in a way I could never have imagined. Be Mindful Fife is a very successful business providing health and well-being training courses/workshops and 1-2-1 coaching in the public, private and third sector of Scotland, such as Home Start, Fife Education, Fife Cultural Trust, NHS and Social Care staff, Scottish Ambulance Service, Police, St. Andrew University, Edinburgh University, and UK military veterans to name a few. The aim is to provide individuals and organisations with the education and practical resources to promote positive health and well-being and maintaining good mental health. Unfortunately, self-care is often said, occasionally understood and rarely practiced. Yet the stress and anxiety that many people experience in living and working could be better managed by establishing a personal self-care plan. That is why we have created workshops and courses on developing self-care. This can take the form of a preventative framework for maintaining existing positive health and well-being and good mental health. It can also empower those that need to manage change, stress, anxiety, depression, compassion fatigue and burnout etc. The aim of all our work is to enable participants to live fully and realise potential. Working with CAMHS, 2016-17 Bill (founder of Be Mindful Fife) was instrumental in creating and managing a Fife wide mindfulness programme for teachers, parents, and school children for Fife Education (Our Minds Matter). Working with five different mindfulness teaching organisations from Scotland, Be Mindful Fife played a key role in the co-creation of Mindful Nation Scotland and its launch in the Scottish Parliament in September 2019. Since 2019 Be Mindful Fife has also been a consultant writing content and offering insight for the development of mental health App for young people with Voxio (funded by Scottish Government and NHS Scotland).

By tram (Balgreen stop) we are only ten minutes west of the city centre and fifteen minutes from Edinburgh Airport, and we welcome visiting players and groups. Green fees are very reasonable for pay-as-you-play golf, and for the regular player there are season tickets available giving access to all of the public courses in the city. Club Hire and buggy hire is also available from the starter, and all players are covered by personal liability insurance. Our active membership play in a full programme of golf throughout the year and enjoy a very comfortable clubhouse which is an ideal venue for our social events which consist of cabarets, comedy nights, Horse Race nights and dinners.
