ABOUT LITTLE WILLOWS Little Willows has found a new home set in the beautiful, historical heritage site, Manor Farm, in Ruislip, Middlesex. We all know that the creative arts, messy play and giving children freedom to express themselves have huge benefits to their development. So, if you need an engaging way to keep your toddler entertained or an activity to stimulate your older child’s interest in the arts, then please give us a go! But at Little Willows its not just about the kids! We also have a huge amount of adults that love to come and paint too! You don't have to be artistic, all you need is some imagination and we have all the tools to bring your ideas to life. We have a huge range of bisque and coloured glazes for you to create your own master pieces and our relaxing environment allows you to simply time out from your busy schedule and enjoy yourself. At Little Willows we’re passionate about creating beautiful hand painted ceramics, wooden keepsake boxes and baby hand & foot prints (paw prints too!) that you can treasure forever. We love to hold workshops, clubs and camps too. As well as our wide range of events like pottery parties, adult evenings and drop in sessions too! Winchester Mummies and Daddies, you need ‘Jolly Josie’ in your life! I’ve been here in Winchester teaching the Music with Mummy programme since 2006 now; small, structured classes with simply gorgeous music, songs and activities. You’ll know many of the traditional favourites and you will grow to adore our original Da Capo creations. I recall one of my Mummies saying that we were quite literally THE soundtrack to her children’s early years and playtimes – when she looks back now, it is our music and song that was there as she raised her family in those first five years. And yes, of course, Daddies, Grandmas, Childminders, Great Auntie Joan(!) – it is not JUST Mummies that attend – your child can bring any special adult they’d like to! As an ex-primary teacher with an honours degree in child education and qualified teacher status, I have had years of teaching experience with school-age children, but it wasn’t until Music with Mummy entered my life (as a Mother taking my own young family to the class) that I began to realise the joy of working with the magical early years. From the tiniest new baby beginning to hit those very first developmental milestones up to my toddlers and pre-schoolers that are working with tempo or pitch and are finding their rhythm and VOICE – it’s just an utter joy and privilege to be part of your child’s early learning journey and to facilitate the musical experience, the fun, the laughter, the smiles, the special moments and the song.

This earth has seen billions of people but only few of them are known to the mankind and they are remembered only due to their contributions to the humanity. Hi I’m Kate, I set up Sew Creative in 2016, however a lot of my customers are often surprised to hear that I haven’t always loved sewing - in fact I even paid one of my friends to sew my Year 7 Textiles project for me, then ditched the subject as soon as I was allowed in the following year! I eventually learnt to sew when I made the decision to study Fashion Design in Manchester. After my degree I worked in the fashion industry in both London and New York, before heading back up North to train to be a Textiles teacher and settle in Altrincham. Whilst teaching, I started to advertise sewing classes - it was originally just a way to earn a little extra money. I started on a table in Hobbycraft with a couple of old machines and some bits and pieces from my personal fabric stash. I sat there for several weeks, with no customers or interest, and was about to give up when Sue (now a member of staff!), my first ever customer, approached me asking if I’d teach her how to make her own patterns - and Sew Creative was born! Alex MANAGER Alex joined the Sew Creative team having left teaching in February 2020, just two weeks before the first National Lockdown! When she was a teacher, she taught social science, so sewing was a bit of a change! Alex sews most of her own clothes and can usually be found wearing at least one me-made item in store during the week. Alex teaches our adult classes as well as our teenagers. She is also the shop’s manager, so if you need anything, she is always happy to help! You can find her on Instagram @sewalexfaye "My favourite thing about being able to sew is making things that fit me properly. I'm almost 6ft tall so finding ready to wear trousers and dresses the right length has always been a challenge.Now I just make them to fit my body rather than the other way around!" Dawn TUTOR Dawn has been with us at Sew Creative for two years now and has become the heart and soul of the shop. Dawn is our resident neat-freak so she keeps us all nice and ship-shape. Dawn has been sewing for years and regularly makes herself gorgeous dresses and coats. Dawn can be found teaching our adults on a Tuesday and our Saturday classes. She is warm of heart and always up for a good natter! Jayne TUTOR Jayne joined Sew Creative in September 2020, in the midst of a Global Pandemic has has taken the rollercoaster ride like a true pro. Jayne’s career has been in lingerie design and she has worked with some of the biggest names in the biz! Jayne sews her won clothes, and loves making tailored trousers, she is always the picture of sophistication! Jayne works most weekdays and every other Saturday, teaching our kids and adult classes. She also teaches our Monday night adult lesson! George CHIEF EXECUTIVE George is the newest and most adorable member of the Sew Creative team. He’s not old enough to sew yet, but can often be found in the shop sporting a mum-made outfit. You’ll also find his full modelling portfolio on Instagram, where you are guaranteed a regular dose of cuteness. He keeps Eric and Dotty very busy and despite being so small, is always the centre of attention! We’re all convinced he’ll be the next Patrick Grant! Eric HEAD OF SECURITY Hi, I’m Eric. I can often be found guarding the front door at Sew Creative. While I might look big, tough and scary, I am actually quite a lovely chap. I love treats, cuddles, any food that you might be eating, and more cuddles. Please feel free to pick me up and cuddle me, instead of doing any sewing. I look forward to meeting you soon. Thank you. Dotty THE DUCHESS Hi, I’m Dotty. I am pretty shy, but if you’re quiet and gentle I will come for some cuddles. I can often be found sleeping in my basket, or following my Mum around - just to make sure that she’s still there! Volunteers and Party Facilitators In addition to our part and full time members of staff, Sew Creative also has a team of amazing volunteers who help us out every week. Lisa, Sue , Catherine and Liz can be found lending a helping hand in our kids and adults classes, alongside some of our teen sewers who give up their precious weekends to work with us! If you book a party with us, you will almost certainly meet our lovely party facilitators. Evie and Daisy have been sewing with us for years and as they have grown up, have proven themselves to be very capable seamstresses. Both ladies are excellent with kids and adults alike!

I am Dorothea Scales. I have founded Fidas Consent Training because I want to share my knowledge and experience of dealing with sexual assaults and rapes which I gained during my career as a Detective Sergeant. I have combined my passion for safeguarding with my enthusiasm for training – having an MA in education and being a qualified teacher gave me the skills set to develop and deliver my courses. Since leaving the Police in October 2021, I have already delivered to hundreds of students, pupils and their teachers, to Designated Safeguarding Leaders and University students, colleges, youth organisations, charities, and apprentices   I have combined my expertise as an ex-Detective Sergeant in Safeguarding and my experience as a teacher, to develop my completely unique consent workshops, presentations and now a cost effective eLearning package . I have trained Detectives, Police cadets and Police Special constables and probationers. I have developed courses for Police officers in dealing sensitively with victims of rape and confronting myths and misconceptions. I have lead  leading a Pilot project for Durham County Council in delivering consent workshops to local secondary schools.   Fidas Consent Training is about sharing my passion for safeguarding the truly vulnerable and giving every person an informed choice about consent.   As a qualified, experienced, and passionate safeguarding specialist, I have 16 years’ experience as a Police Officer, protecting the rights of children, young people, and adults. I have always been driven by making a positive difference to the vulnerable. During my time in education and the Police, I have developed additional skills in risk management, people leadership and managing the most complex investigations which demand a sensitive and compassionate response. Victim focused and people centred in my work, I championed change in the police and built strong alliances with partner organisations As a Detective Sergeant within the Safeguarding unit I dealt with victims and suspects of rape and sexual assaults on a daily basis, often from report to court. I know and understand all the devastating consequences of not understanding or ignoring consent and want to share my experience with young people for a better future. I am a qualified Teacher and Safeguarding instructor committed to sharing my experience and expertise through my training courses. Westfield School is smaller than most: there are currently just over 60 learners on roll, between the ages of 2 and 19. This number varies year on year. The school dates from the early 1970's, but the buildings and grounds have undergone considerable improvement over the years, and now feature six class bases, two sensory areas, a specialist food technology room, therapy room, multi-purpose hall and sensory garden. Other facilities such as hydrotherapy and RDA are accessed via alternative providers. Our playground is divided into four distinct areas to enable different activities to take place with no effect on young people requiring ‘quiet time’. We regard playtimes as an extension of the curriculum and different activities are offered on different days, which enables learning to continue throughout leisure activities. It is a great feeling to witness four of the ECM outcomes happening every time you look out of the window: no-one has yet managed to achieve economic well-being out there!
