Learn stress intensification factors of bends, branch connections and flanges.</li>
<li>Understand how the stresses in the material should be controlled for the safety of the piping system, the user and the environment.</li>
<li>Examine how codes give guidance to determine allowable stresses, stress range reduction due to cyclic loading, and effects sustained loads have on fatigue life of piping.</li>
<li>Confidently handle terminal forces and moments on equipment. Understand the supplementary engineering standards required to establish acceptance of the equipment terminal loads and what can be done when there are no engineering standard governing equipment terminal loads is available and learn the techniques of local stress analysis.</li>
<li>Get a thorough understanding of the concepts and the rules established by the ASME B 31.1 and ASME B 31.3 Standards.</li>
<li>Perform flange load analysis calculations based on Kellogg's Equivalent Pressure method &amp; Nuclear Code method. Perform the same using a piping stress analysis software and check for flange stresses and leakage.</li>
<li>Confidently undertake formal training of piping stress analysis using any commercial software, with a clear understanding of what happens within the software rather than a 'blind' software training and start the journey of becoming a specialist piping stress engineer.</li>

She was instrumental in the development of the existing leadership model for PETRONAS. <p>Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) has provided intercontinental mobility to natural gas, which now provides about 25% of the global primary energy. Being the cleanest fossil fuel, natural gas/LNG consumption is forecasted to grow in all future scenarios. With the entry of various players, including Trading companies, the LNG value chain is becoming increasingly complex, and a solid understanding of its economics and management of its interfaces have become crucial to identify and assess investment opportunities and risks.</p>
<p>Recent market disturbances caused by COVID-19, Oil &amp; Gas price instabilities - coupled with the political (Ukraine/Russia) challenges - make a deep understanding of LNG Value Chain Logistics and Economics even more essential to ensure the security of energy supplies sustainably and profitably.</p>
<p>This intermediate level 3 full-day course starts with a concise introduction to the LNG business. Thereafter, the elements of the LNG value chain are described, and their individual economics analysed. A Business Activity Model along the value chain will be developed and discussed in depth, covering the following key processes:</p>

<p>Your expert course leader is an Oil &amp; Gas/LNG professional with more than 35 years of international experience, majority of which was gained at Shell International Joint Ventures engaged in Oil Refining, Supply / Trading, Gas Supply and LNG Businesses in the Netherlands, France, Thailand, Dominican Republic and Nigeria.</p>
<p>Since 2004, he has had several roles in the management of the LNG Value Chain including the Commercial Operational Management of Nigeria LNG (NLNG). He played an active role in the start-up and integration of LNG trains 4, 5 and 6 with NLNG becoming the 3rd largest LNG producer in the world in 2007. Commercial operations spanned 4 Gas Supply, 11 LNG Sales &amp; Purchase Agreements, ad-hoc LPG and Condensate Sales and LNG Ship Chartering contracts. Under his supervision, more than 2,000 LNG cargoes were exported. He was part of the organizational transformation of the company from a Project-based set-up to a Production / Commercial based structure and implemented an 'Integrated Planning and Scheduling Department' in which he optimized the value chain (Buy-Gas - Liquify Gas to LNG - Sell - Ship LNG). Staff competence management was one of his focus areas during this period. He was also the NLNG representative on JV Technical, Commercial, Shipping Committees where he interfaced with Government &amp; Regulatory authorities.</p>
<p>In 2014, he was appointed as Shell Shareholder representative to NLNG and became a Non-Executive Board member to NLNG companies, including Bonny Gas Transport (BGT) managing 24 LNG Ships. During this period, he was involved in the Economic and Technical steering of the Shipping Fleet and Liquefaction Plant Rejuvenation projects and a further capacity expansion of liquefaction plant which resulted in the achievement of NLNG train 7 project FID in 2019.</p>
<p>Since 2016, he has been active as an independent consultant. He co-authored 2 patents and more than 30 published papers/presentations. He holds a PhD from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and a MSc and BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, UK.</p>

<p>More energy companies today are setting ambitious net-zero targets and are expected to pour billions into the voluntary carbon offset market by the end of this decade. To get to net zero emissions, companies will need to balance emissions with nature and technology-based offsets. Markets are the best tool for connecting carbon sources and sinks. Many countries will not have enough supply inside their borders and will need to co-operate with those who have extra greenhouse gas removal potential.</p>
<p>The energy industry is in search of effective climate tools as pressure mounts from investors and consumers for more progress on fighting rising emissions. Corporations fighting to cut their carbon footprint have for years focused on internal reduction measures. Many are now adding to that effort by turning to carbon credits, a process made easier as verification and registration tools mature.</p>

He has a strong expertise in all the aspects of (energy) commodity markets, international sales, marketing of services, derivatives trading, staff training and risk management within dynamic and high-pressure environments.</p>
<p>He received a Master's degree in Law from the University of Utrecht in 1987. He started his career at the NLKKAS, the Clearing House of the Commodity Futures Exchange in Amsterdam. After working for the NLKKAS for five years, he was appointed as Member of the Management Board of the Agricultural Futures Exchange (ATA) in Amsterdam at the age of 31. While working for the Clearing House and exchange, he became an expert in all the aspects of trading and risk management of commodities. In 1997, he founded his own specialist-consulting firm that provides strategic advice about (energy) commodity markets, trading and risk management.</p>
<p>He has advised government agencies such as the European Commission, investment banks, major utilities and commodity trading companies and various energy exchanges and market places in Europe, CEE countries, North America and Asia. Some of the issues he has advised on are the development and implementation of a Risk Management Framework, investment strategies, trading and hedging strategies, initiation of Power Exchanges (APX) and other trading platforms, the set-up of (OTC) Clearing facilities, and feasibility and market studies like for the Oil, LNG and the Carbon Market. The latest additions are (Corporate) PPAs and Artificial Intelligence for energy firms.</p>
<p>He has given numerous seminars, workshops and (in-house) training sessions about both the physical and financial trading and risk management of commodity and carbon products. <p><span>Your expert course leader is a professional engineer with extensive experience in power system studies, substation design field-testing, and EHS programs settings for Mining and Electrical Utilities sectors. He was formally the Engineering Manager at GE Canada in Ontario. He received his M.Sc. in electrical engineering from the University of New Brunswick and his MBA from Laurier School of Business in Waterloo.</span> <span>He has managed and executed more than 150 engineering projects on substation design EMF audits and power system studies and analyses, EMF audits and grounding audits, for major electrical utilities, mines, oil and gas, data centers, industrial and commercial facilities in Canada and the U.S. He is a certified professional engineer in the provinces of Ontario and Alberta.</span></p>
<p><span>He has various IEEE publications, has served as a technical reviewer for many IEEE journals in power systems and control systems, and is the chair of the Industry Application Chapter (IAS) for IEEE Toronto Section. He remains a very active member for the IEEE substation committee of IEEE Std. 81 ground testing (WGE6) and IEEE Std. 80 ground design (WGD7). <p>Hydrogen will play an increasingly critical role in the future of energy system as it moves forward to supplement and potentially replace fossil fuels in the long run. Offshore wind offers a clean and sustainable renewable resource for green hydrogen production. However, it can also be volatile and presents inherent risks that need to be managed. Even though offshore production of hydrogen has yet to achieve a high state of maturity, many current projects are already dealing with the conditions and effects of offshore production of hydrogen and are grappling with the technological requirements and necessary gas transportation with grid integration.</p>
<p>This 2 half-day Virtual Instructor Lead Training (VILT) course will examine the technological options for on-site production of hydrogen by electrolysis (onshore or offshore directly at the platform) as well as the transport of hydrogen (pipeline or ship). The research activities of the division link the areas of energy conversion processes and control engineering. The application fields covered are renewable energy technologies, energy storage systems and power to gas with a strong focus on green hydrogen. From 2006 - 2007, he worked as a research analyst of the German Advisory Council on Global Change, WBGU, Berlin. He has extensive training experience from Bachelor and Master courses at different universities as well as in the context of international training activities - recently on hydrogen and PtX for partners in the MENA region and South America. He holds a University degree (Diploma) in Physics, University of Karlsruhe (KIT).</p>
<p><strong>Trainer 2:</strong></p>
<p><span>Your expert course leader is Deputy Head of Energy Storage Department at Fraunhofer IEE. Prior to this, he was the director of the Grid Integration Department at SMA Solar Technology AG, one of the world's largest manufacturers of PV power converters. Before joining SMA, he was manager of the Front Office System Planning at Amprion GmbH (formerly RWE TSO), one of the four German transmission system operators. He holds a Degree of Electrical Engineering from the University of Kassel, Germany. In 2003, he finished his Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) on the topic of wind power forecasting at the Institute of Solar Energy Supply Technology (now known as Fraunhofer IEE) in Kassel. In 2004, he started his career at RWE TSO with a main focus on wind power integration and congestion management. He</span> <span>is Chairman of the IEC SC 8A 'Grid Integration of Large-capacity Renewable Energy (RE) Generation' and has published several papers about grid integration of renewable energy source and forecasting systems on books, magazines, international conferences and workshops.</span></p>
<p><strong>Trainer 3:</strong></p>
<p><span>Your expert course leader is Deputy Director of the Energy Process Technology division and Head of the Renewable Gases and Bio Energy Department at Fraunhofer IEE. His work is mainly focused on the integration of renewable gases and bioenergy systems into the energy supply structures. He has been working in this field since more than 20 years. He is a university lecturer in national and international master courses. He is member of the scientific advisory council of the European Biogas Association, member of the steering committee of the Association for Technology and Structures in Agriculture, member of the International Advisory Committee (ISAC) of the European Biomass Conference and member of the scientific committees of national bioenergy conferences. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Darmstadt, Germany. He received his Doctoral degree on the topic of aerothermodynamics of gas turbine combustion chambers. He started his career in renewable energies in 2001, with the topic of biogas fired micro gas turbines.</span></p>

In the Division of Energy Process Technology, she is currently working as a Research Associate on various projects related to techno-economic analysis of international PtX projects and advises KfW Development Bank on PtX projects in North Africa. Her focus is on the calculation of electricity, hydrogen and derivative production costs (LCOE, LCOH, LCOA, etc) based on various methods of dynamic investment costing. She also supervises the development of models that simulate different PtX plant configurations to analyze the influence of different parameters on the cost of the final product, and to find the configuration that gives the lowest production cost. <p>Tripod Beta is one of several tools based on Tripod's fundamental principles. Tripod Beta is based on proven theories, man years of academic research, and testing in the workplace. The Swiss Cheese Model originated from this work. <br /><br />Features of the methodology are: <br />1) the Tripod Beta diagram; it provides an easy-to-read summary of the entire investigation on a single page, <br />2) it accommodates deficiencies in leadership and worker participation, <br />3) it accommodates deficiencies in human behaviour, and <br />4) it highlights missing controls (not just controls that failed). <br /><br />Quality throughout all aspects of Tripod is assured by the Stichting Tripod Foundation (STF) and the Energy Institute.</p>

<p>Your specialist course leader has more than 32 years of practical engineering experience with Ontario Power Generation (OPG), one of the largest electric utility in North America. He was previously involved in research on power generation equipment with Atomic Energy of Canada Limited at their Chalk River and Whiteshell Nuclear Research Laboratories.</p>
<p>While working at OPG, he acted as a Training Manager, Engineering Supervisor, System Responsible Engineer and Design Engineer. During the period of time, he worked as a Field Engineer and Design Engineer, he was responsible for the operation, maintenance, diagnostics, and testing of gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, motors, transformers, inverters, valves, pumps, compressors, instrumentation and control systems. Further, his responsibilities included designing, engineering, diagnosing equipment problems and recommending solutions to repair deficiencies and improve system performance, supervising engineers, setting up preventive maintenance programs, writing Operating and Design Manuals, and commissioning new equipment.</p>
<p>Later, he worked as the manager of a section dedicated to providing training for the staff at the power stations. The training provided by him covered in detail the various equipment and systems used in power stations.</p>
<p>In addition, he has taught courses and seminars to more than four thousand working engineers and professionals around the world, specifically Europe and North America. He has been consistently ranked as 'Excellent' or 'Very Good' by the delegates who attended his seminars and lectures.</p>
<p>He written 5 books for working engineers from which 3 have been published by McGraw-Hill, New York. Below is a list of the books authored by him;</p>

The highly acclaimed Senior Mental Health Lead Training and Certificate is an extensive and authoritative training course that ensures schools/colleges have the most comprehensive, effective and financially viable whole-school/college approach to mental health and wellbeing in place. Since September 2021, this course has been fully funded by the DfE for eligible schools and colleges. Schools and Colleges that are ineligible for the grant are, of course, more than welcome to enrol on the course but will need to self-fund their place.
Working with an expert trainer and a highly experienced Senior Mental Health Lead, who has trained Senior Mental Health Leads in over 1000 schools and colleges nationwide, you will be introduced to the DfE’s requirements for the role of the DSMHL, and learn proven, long-term, evidence-based strategies to create, lead and promote a dynamic, bespoke mental health and wellbeing approach for your setting.
Our course consists of three days of live instructor-led training as well as an additional 1-2-1 review and coaching session, and costs £520+VAT per delegate. (For schools and colleges who have already completed the training with us and now wish to train further colleagues, we offer a subsidised rate for additional delegates of £390+VAT - please just email us if this is an offer you would like to take up.)
Places are limited to a maximum of 15 delegates per course to ensure high quality, bespoke training.

We delve into the practical aspect of reverse engineering the desired outcome. Participants will learn how to create what we refer to as Snap Objectives, a technique that establishes the coaching objective before the session begins, even in ad hoc or unexpected sessions.
By the end of this workshop, your coach will be equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and confidence to conduct effective coaching sessions. They will also be able to design coaching plans that adhere to a consistent approach, ensuring all coaching sessions are impactful.

Who? 
ANYONE involved or soon to be involved in helping people improve Skills, Knowledge and Understanding (SKU).
Why? 
It is not enough to have trainers who are certified or qualified in their professional skills. We must also ensure that those responsible for coaching others, even those who coach others only occasionally, are certified.
Think about this. If your child needed coaching at school, would it be okay for anyone to do that, or would you insist that they be certified teachers or teaching assistants?
Likewise, with driving, would you think it ok for someone who gives coaching sessions to someone to improve their driving skills if they were not licensed to drive themselves?
The skills of your coaches are inextricably linked to your employee's performance, output and error margins, so that alone means you need certified coaches.
Coaching will always be required in industries where updates occur, practices are updated, or legislation is changed.

The difference between Coaching and Training.
What is a Sat-Nav coach, and why must we avoid this at all costs?
We discuss why there is a need for Emotional Intelligence (EI) in a coaching session for coaching needs analysis.
We discuss our recommended Coaching Structure and why it is designed that way.
We discuss various question techniques and what each is good for or why it should be avoided.
We discuss the phrase 'two ears, one mouth' in relation to great coaching and why we must be clever about listening.
We touch on Learning Styles to see what you think of each and how we can cater for them.
We delve into our SAS Feedback model and why we think feedback must be facilitated and not given.
We help you plan and prepare for your final session on the second day.
You deliver your final mini-coaching session. We record them (HD). We chat as a group.
Course delivery and venue
This is a two-day course where participants facilitate a coaching session on day two. All attendees will have the opportunity to coach a fellow participant and receive an HD recording of their session.
When you consider the content we deliver, we are sure you will understand why we always prefer to deliver our workshops, courses and programmes face-to-face.
Face-to-face workshops and courses can be held at a location of your choice or, if you wish, a central UK location, such as the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham, located directly across from the Birmingham New Street train station.
We can deliver our workshops, courses and programmes online, although this will mean splitting elements into manageable learning events to suit the online environment.
