I am a glass artist who's been designing and creating bespoke contemporary stained glass commissions since 1998. I love to create glass pieces that are pulled in from the things around me that inspire me in life. I would love to help you create your own glass piece of your choice to take home with you at the end of our workshop together. We aim to create a kind of intimacy where practitioners can see themselves clearly whilst getting the support to be who they are. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All therapists have an original project, an intention, a gut feeling, and the reason why they decided to practice. Through training, many things are learnt but often this profound and personal purpose can be clouded. This weekly group provides a safe space that promotes a non-judgmental approach. Once the practitioners own individual style is discovered a process to master what will become their own personal approach begins. The group is the supervisor, a gentle but firm mirror to observe our work with perspective and generate understanding of the client’s process by taking into account ourselves as co-creators of the therapeutic encounter. Bárbara has facilitated therapeutic Group Work internationally since 1997. Currently, as the clinical director of THS, Bárbara leads a team of over 30 professional practitioners in the area of Psychological services and Well-being consultancy. There are lots of people who think that the first task of any wine is to be red. We meet you at our events, and while you’re (usually) very polite about the white wines, your eyes light up when we say, ‘And now let's move on to the reds…’ So we’re putting on a tasting just for you, in which we’ll focus on rich red wines, seven of them, with some rather tasty cheese on the side. To show that red wine can be full-flavoured without being full-bodied, we’ll begin with reds that are refreshing and fragrant, probably from Italy and France. Then we’ll move on to wine that are draughts of the warm south, most likely from countries close to the Mediterranean. Spain. And we’ll finish with gutsy Malbec or Australian Shiraz (aka Blood-and-Thunder from Down Under). Or possible both. Whatever the line-up, you can be assured of an excellent, belly-warming and tooth-staining evening.

This course is DCPC approved by licensed training providers and runs for seven hours in accordance with periodic training regulations.  Drivers attending this course will need to be physically able to ride a bicycle in order to complete the course and receive a certificate. Providing the skills and background knowledge required of a competent powerboat driver, this is a beginner 2 day course . The course is split in half to cover theory and practical, where the theory is applied. subjects covered include low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed, and collision regulations. By the end of the course you will be a self-sufficient powerboater in the right conditions and be aware of your own limitations and those of the craft. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- POWER COURSES Our powerboat training is currently delivered on an MCA coded 7.8m Ribcraft with a 200hp Suzuki four stroke outboard engine and an E-series Raymarine chart plotter. We maintain a 3:1 student to instructor ratio which allows our experienced RYA instructors to tailor courses to the various levels and needs on board and deliver at a manageable pace. All course costs include tea and coffee, waterproofs are available on request.
