 Fairy House Workshop - a wonderful two day workshop for majickal adults ( min age 16yrs)  In The first session we teach you how to create your own pottery Fairy House, returning on the second session a couple of weeks later to glaze/ colour your piece after it’s been bisque fired.  We will take you through the project step-by-step, to create your dream fairy house with moulds, stamps and free-hand making. Using all of your fairy imagination 🧚 During your return session, two weeks later, your pieces will have been fired ready for you to glaze. Glazing is the process of painting on different coloured effects ready for your piece to return back into the kiln and the finished creation will be ready to collect  approx 3 weeks later. Your finished piece could have the addition of an led light when you take it home, so you will see if the fairy folk have moved in ❣️ We’re so excited to share this wonderful, creative workshop with you x dust off your fairy wings and get out your wands ready for a majickal experience.  Suitable for clay newbies and those wishing to expand their handbuilding ceramics skills. I found my love for ceramics while studying the Art Foundation course at De Montfort University (Leicester, England); we had inductions into some of the craft workshops, ceramics included. I really enjoyed working with clay, the making was so much fun, so many different options to explore and experiment with. The most exciting moment for me was collecting my piece from the kiln, not knowing what it was going to turn out like; the magical moment when you see the finished piece in all its glory, that’s what sold it to me in an instant. ...although I have always been addicted to everything art & crafts since I was a little girl, from the day I could hold a pencil I have been drawing and creating ever since; it’s always been my passion!

We run a variety of ceramics classes and workshops throughout the year, including hand building, throwing and pottery taster sessions. We offer three different membership programmes for professional ceramic artists as well as those wishing to use the studio on an ad hoc basis. We also offer kiln hire for non-member firings, technical support and advice as well as a mould making and slip-casting service.

Inspired by the natural colours and textures of the earth, Naked Clay Ceramics is a collection of quiet, tactile, minimal style tableware and homeware in black stoneware and white porcelain. Using a combination of handbuilding and slip casting, everything is made by hand in my studio in Bedfordshire. At high temperatures the clay dances in the kiln. When they leave the kiln these pieces don’t conform to the symmetrical perfection and uniformity found in factory made items. Each is individual and unique. The pieces are fired with no glaze on the outside so that the feel of the natural, fired clay can be appreciated. I hope that tactile connection brings an opportunity to pause, breathe and savour a small moment in the hustle and bustle of life. I hand make a limited number of items 3-4 times a year, available online and at events. These small batches are crafted with care, knowing that each item will be an intentional and valued addition to someone’s home or collection.
