We will also introduce the seasonal topics that help you to capture some stunning Japanese scenes.This painting class is suitable for beginners as well as those with a little more artistic experience, so don&#39;t worry if it&#39;s your first time. This course is broken down into 5 lessons. Taking you step by step through different ways to observe and develop an idea from one or more source images. Exploration through sketching &ndash; starting a new project, has been designed as an online studio-based course for you to work along with at home.

Is this course for me?
Do you want to work from the beginning on simple drawing exercises? Do you want to work on a series of drawings to develop your core skills?&nbsp; Find different ways to work from one source image to generate different ideas? Then yes this is for you.
The course assumes you have a little previous drawing knowledge (although suitable for complete beginners or are an experienced artists who just find it hard to &lsquo;start a new project&rsquo;) and presents each piece of information or skill in manageable lessons. Allowing you to work through at your own pace, completing each lesson and building on the previous lesson&rsquo;s skills.
This course is also accompanied by a printable equipment list and source photographs used in the lessons, so you can work along with my demonstrations. Or choose your own images to work with.

What will I need to start the course?
Well to start the course you only need a means of watching each of the video lessons online. An equipment list is supplied and I run through it all in the Introduction video. Over the course I demo with graphite pencils, willow charcoal and a couple of pastels, you probably already have everything you&rsquo;ll need!
&nbsp;
Can I get more support?
Yes. Once enrolled on the course you will also have access to my Student Chatroom, with a dedicated area for you to post images of your work, interact with other members and I&rsquo;ll be around to give feedback and comments.
How long does the course take to complete?
There are over 1hour 40 mins of videos, which can be watched and worked through in one day if you are in a rush. But I suggest you take one lesson at a time, playing with the ideas and exploring your sketches before moving on. The course is designed specifically to help you generate new ways to approach a subject.

Our courses are social and interactive whether delivered online or in-person. Our aim is to introduce and build crafting skills and the basic skills needed for success in the workplace and at home, including self-confidence, problem solving, communicating in a group, basic maths and English. We teach over 45 different paper craft and mixed media techniques. Each course is carefully constructed to help you develop your crafting skills and knowledge. &nbsp;Crafting and our courses are mindful, taking us away from the day-to-day. Participants have consistently reported improvements in their wellbeing. &nbsp;Anyone who wants to learn new skills can join our programmes. &nbsp;No previous experience of papercrafting or mixed media work is needed. We have delivered courses successfully in Cambridgeshire for 6 1/2 years and have worked with 280 Cambridges residents during this time. 86% of participants state that what we offer has helped to improve their wellbeing. 75% state that it has made a positive difference to their daily lives. &nbsp;Please note that the Cademy calenda/description states that this course is over 13 weeks. This is because the 10 weeks of the course are delivered over 13 weeks, during 3 of which, Craft4Smiles is closed for holidays!&nbsp;

Craft4Smiles C.I.C. 

A standalone 10-week quilling course - 2 hours per week online with daytime and evening options - that will introduce you to the materials, tools, and techniques used in quilling and to Craft4Smiles C.I.C and our tutors.   At the end of each session you will have a lovely quilled item to show family and friends or to display on your shelf!  All materials and equipment needed will be supplied and are yours to keep. This course is helpful for those for whom English is not their native tongue as there is a lot of repetition of basic terms including numbers, colours and directions.
