In this exciting, educational and intriguing full day sea glass course, you will be shown how to make your own solid silver jewellery pieces incorporating sea glass and take away your own unique pieces to wear and treasure or as gifts for loved ones.

Learn about the unique qualities of silver clay and make your own solid silver jewellery. You'll be guided by a friendly and experienced teacher to help you make three jewellery pieces for you to treasure and take away! Firstly, you will make a leaf pendant or earrings. Then you'll mould a small object of your choosing to turn into a charm. Lastly, you will form a pendant or charm and learn how to add texture and a gemstone. Once all your projects are ready, you will be shown how to fire and polish your pieces to be solid silver with a beautiful shine.

In this lovely nature-filled full day course, you will be creating beautiful jewellery from the amazing combination of Mother Nature and silver clay. You will use various items of nature, such as leaves, seed heads, sea-shells, and make moulds and use different techniques with the silver clay. You will turn them into beautiful solid silver Jewellery that you will be able to wear home proudly. All materials are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own samples from nature to use but we will have plenty of pieces available.

PREPARE TO AMAZE YOURSELF, AND YOUR FRIENDS, WITH THE BEAUTIFUL CANOE YOU WILL BUILD HERE.. AND YES! YOU DO TAKE YOUR CANOE HOME WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE. FIRST DAY The first stage in the process is to cut out the marine ply panels, and sew these together using cable ties as seen here. This is a fun stage, and you quickly see your canoe coming together. Children often opt to be involved at this stage. Not all children  decide to be with us for the slower paced sections of the build. SECOND DAY The second day is mainly taken up with cutting, planing, sanding and fitting the seats ( the Thwarts). At the end of the second day we aim to apply the first coat of resin, to the inside of your canoe, along with glassfibre tape ro reinforce the seams.  THIRD DAY  Most of the third day is taken up with preparing the outside of your canoe for the resin and tape. This involves a lot of patient planing and sanding, The whole boat gets two coats of resin inside and out, and all the seams are reinforced with glassfibre tape on the outside too. I will show you how to size, design, make and fire your ring into a beautiful solid silver piece ready to wear home. You will make a patterned ring band and a ring with a stone setting.
