jemima's wildcraft workshops

In our Wild Craft workshops we introduce people of all ages to the ancient practice of creating with nature itself. We learn what is bountiful in our natural environment in each season, and work in response to them. We integrate elements of foraging, bushcraft and ancestral skills with intuition, art and play. In an afternoon participants will be educated on local plants and wild foods. We will make snacks with them over a fire, taste tea’s, build shelters and experiment with natural inks, paints and dyes.

Art classes This is our last week at White Cart Studio. Art classes will continue at The Wynd Centre, Paisley, Tues and Thurs 10.00 - 12.00 from March 7th. White Cart Communty Arts We run a programme of art activities for care homes, day centres and community groups across Renfrewshire. Clients include Braemount Care Home, Darnley Court Care Home, Millview Care Home, Adams House, Westerfield Care Centre, Hillside View Care Home, Lancefield Care Home, Craigielea Care Centre, Stanely Park Care Home and Johnstone, Falcon, Ralston and Renfrew Day Centres. Oil, acrylic, water, pencil, pastels, ceramic, life & portrait drawing, mixed media, textile & interior design ... Art4you Scotland began life in 2010 as an evening art class and has grown to a highly-regarded art school. The art school now offers a wide range of art courses, from weekly life drawing, watercolour, ceramic, painting and drawing, portrait drawing classes to art holidays, kids classes, plus workshops, talks and more. All materials are provided and the artists at art4you Scotland believe everyone can enjoy art. Students are given the freedom to play with the art materials, encouraged to build up their confidence and self-believe. The Killearn based art studio has received a top award for best independent art school. The art school is run by artists Claudia Duncan and Ewen Duncan and a great team of visiting artists specialising in various art techniques. art4you Scotland claimed the title of Best Independent Art School 2020 Scotland at the UK Enterprise Awards. art4you Scotland has a permanent exhibition space showing and selling work created by art4you Scotland students and artists. glasgow zen group

This course will include everything you need to get started with practising Zen. Each week will feature informal talks, practical demonstrations and plenty of opportunities for questions and discussions. Getting Started – looking at what meditation is and how it’s practised within the Zen tradition. In the first week we’ll have practical posture workshops to help you sit with ease and find rest in a balanced posture that suits you. We’ll also look at embarking upon a daily practice and tips for how you can get started practising at home. Turning In, Facing Out – introducing some of the traditions and rituals of Zen and how they might help us to practice together with the space, with each other and with the wider world. We’ll go on to have a look at Kinhin and the practice of walking meditation.
