Jamal has an interest in the visual arts and music since he was 5 years old. He always had meticulous eyes when it comes to observe and artistically interpret the visual world. His creative abilities enabled him to draw and paint with ease. Old school observation based skills of drawing and painting feature his work that one rarely experiences nowadays in modern artworks. Originally from North Devon, I have lived and worked in various countries, particularly the Middle East and Mediterranean, and have been both influenced and inspired by the different cultures and architecture from my travels.  This combined with my keen interest in the environment, nature and the landscape, has provided me with the possibility of creating unique and individual pieces, whilst helping to preserve the natural beauty that surrounds us.   In 2003 I wanted these bright and cheerful mosaics to  withstand all weather conditions so through experimentation I developed this process.  My mosaic mirrors, panels and lamps and balls are designed for both indoor and all year garden display.   They can be used as wall panels – a feature among climbing plants, placed in a gloomy corner, floated on ponds and lakes, hung from trees or filled with solar lights all bringing a splash of colour to our dormant winter landscapes or creating a hint of “The Secret Garden’ beyond. I run a number of different courses and workshops every month to teach this uplifting and cheerful skill whether just as a day out with friends, learning a new hobby or wanting to  improve your skill.  Please contact me for more information.

After 25 years in the NHS, for the last 7 years I have had a new career as a glass artist and small business owner and all that entails. My husband, Chris, is a potter and we are enjoying running our businesses side by side! We live in Worcester and can often be found at art and craft shows and galleries, taking opportunities to meet other designer-makers in the area. Most weekends we either have classes or have stalls at an art & craft market somewhere in the Midlands. I am loving sharing my passion for all things glassy with other people and we have great fun with our combined courses with whole day courses including lunch.

Stevie Davies Glass Artist & Tutor.  I love being a professional, full time creative, running my thriving studio gallery in Wirksworth, Derbyshire and sharing my passion for glass and all things hand crafted. With over 17 years experience of working with glass, exhibiting and teaching, I have a lot of talk about :)  Glass is such a beautiful material – it is very familiar to us but can be unpredictable and I find that a lot of my process plays with the dual nature of glass. It is solid and translucent, hard but delicate. I like to highlight the surface shine of glass by applying specific finishes and individual handmade elements.  One of my passions is teaching others to design and create with glass through teaching workshops and creating make at home kits. Enabling you to have a go and play with glass brings me a lot of joy!

Tracey’s sculptural glass work is inspired heavily by this unique geological landscape of South Armagh, formed during volcanic and glaciation periods over 440 million years ago. Her work builds on this monumental land formation where she responds to the imagined energy formed in the landscape during that period, using glass as a vessel to translate the story. Her work also celebrates a strong connection with Ireland’s ancient Megalithic and Iron Age ancestors and the mysteriously beautiful structures they left behind in their wake. Her work constantly comes back to these roots as a form of inspiration with an invisible pull. Tracey specialised in Fine Art Sculpture with a MFA in 2002 at the University of Ulster, Belfast. She has been working within the field of sculpture and glass since 2003 since training with artisan brothers, Gianni and Massimo Bracciai in Sienna, Italy, at Vitrate Artiste Toscana. Here she assisted in the creation of large scale ecclesiastical glass installations sited in places of worship across the United States. This is where the seeds were sown for glass as a medium of transferring its ethereal qualities to her sculptural practice.

Le Breton Traditional is the business of Matthew Le Breton. As a teacher, craftsman and artist he brings over 20 years experience to teaching his glass classes. The classes take place at the Devon Applied Arts Workshop. A collaborative teaching workshop set up together with RAMP Ceramics to deliver quality craft teaching in the rolling fields of Mid Devon. The workshop is spacious with toilets, kitchen area, disabled access and plenty of parking.

I have a selection of stained glass panels on display in my workshop which are for sale. Plus handmade canvas bags, aprons and window stickers all decorated using some of my stained glass designs. Prices range from £3 to £300. The stained glass has to be seen to be fully appreciated and due to it's weight and fragility I am not currently offering an online/postal service for larger items, contact me on the form below if you would like a smaller piece posted.
