  • Parking is pricey and no obvious option for reduced payment if using the the venue but venue appears clean and tidy. Only went bro the sports arena which is a great sized space with lots of different courts.

  • The place has all you need to test yourself while working out. It is neat, and well equipped. If you are a York student and liking training with weights or resistance bands, you'll be truly excited of being here.

  • Was a member here for years and ended up complaining at central management of university level because of how rude and unhelpful some of the staff were. Toxic atmosphere at reception. This is some time ago and I hope it’s changed. I did like the devices and doing workouts there though.

  • Good facilities but the staff are unhelpful and rude. We were recently overcharged for a family swim and when challenged were stonewalled by the desk staff. After further investigation also found out that we have been overcharged for months on previous swims despite us asking direct questions about prices with concessions. The children's pool is also closed far too often with poor information on the website leading to many a wasted journey and a very disappointed 6-year-old.

  • A summary of how I feel about this gym after frequently attending for the past 6 months. The good: Lots of equipment for olympic lifting and powerlifting. Platforms and high quality eleiko barbells. No doubt they cost a fortune and I appreciate the gym for putting in the funds. There's a water cooler too at the very least.
