Yachting Scotland

I had such a great time on this trip, not knowing what to expect at first. I was a total beginner with a lot of nerves, but Scott put me at easy one day at a time. His instruction was professional yet I personally loved how relaxed he was and made us feel throughout. Scotland was beautiful to explore by sea and this trip came with local knowledge as well as technical which was appreciated. I always felt part of the team and of some help, coming away with confidence, skill and a lifelong memory!

My son and I sailed with Scott and Yachting Scotland in Aug 22. We did Competent crew and had an incredible time. I can’t recommend these guys any higher. I’ve sailed for a few years and Scott is probably the best skipper I’ve ever sailed with. I was so impressed with his knowledge, experience and ability. We fully intend to get back out with Yachting Scotland next year.

Had the absolute best time out learning with Scott on a 5 day Informal Tuition trip. I went from complete novice with 0 sailing experience to feeling like I was a useful member of our little team with a Competent Crew certificate by the end of the week. I was a bit nervous about not understanding what I needed to do but the environment on the boat was so welcoming that I felt comfortable to try new things and to learn at my own pace. We will definitely be booking in another trip with YS next ...

We sailed with Scott and Yachting Scotland early July. I was a bit nervous for our adventure. Scott focused on making sure we were safe, had a great time and was the best host. I would sail with Scott again and am considering hiring him for another sail (hey Scott- do you go to Greece!? 😊). I highly suggest doing a distillery tour and being present during your sail. Scotland is absolutely beautiful…even better aboard Yachting Scotland.

Excellent experience!! I did a 5-day RYA Day Skipper course with Scott in July and it was a truly remarkable experience. Scott fostered an enjoyable learning environment on the boat which made 5 days go by too quickly. After the course, Scott's instruction left me with the knowledge and confidence I needed to go on my own adventures. If you want to learn a lot about sailing, or even a little about Scotland, I highly recommend booking with this company.
