Just completed my Day Skipper practical course after 5 excellent days under Owen's expert tuition. Really enjoyed it and learnt a huge amount: clear instruction; plenty of practice; and regular reviews. And all delivered knowledgably and with humour. Sirius is comfortable below deck, well fitted out and sails brilliantly. Can't wait to do my Coastal Skipper with Owen.

Two of us took the five day competent crew course with instructor Owen at Hamilton Sailing out of Ipswich. We were joined by three guys on day skipper courses. The course was really good but beyond that and more importantly for me was Owen’s style not only made for an entertaining and enjoyable trip but he shared and instilled in us a passion for sailing. Thanks to Owen and the Sirius crew I’m really looking forward to our next sail.

I just completed an RYA Competent Crew course with Hamilton Sailing and totally loved it! What a brilliant introduction to sailing. I did a 5 day RYA Coastal Skipper course with Hamilton Sailing in September 2020. It was an intense 5 days where we went from Ipswich down to the Blackwater and back again. I practised, learnt or revised many skills. Our group was a mix of Competent Crew, Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper and this worked very well.
