World After Sport

World After Sport (WAS) has been developed to provide athletes with somewhere that cares, protects and supports their lives when their sporting days are over. By working with the athlete during their participating days, we aim to put them on a personal development programme that will prepare them and take them into the world after sport. We also want to provide sports clubs, businesses and everyone with the opportunity to invite an athlete to visit them and talk about their experiences, their highs and lows in sport and how life may have changes for them. There is a serious “player welfare” aspect as we strive to reduce the ever growing experiences that our athletes face at the end of their career when it comes to anxiety, depression and sometimes much worse. Tied to this is our own charity, Sporting Partnerships, which will allow us to raise monies for sporting charities and donate on an annual basis.
