Windermere Motor Boat Racing Club

Google says that I was there 5 days ago. Yet again dear Google confuses travelling past a venue with actually visiting it. As it happens I was in Windermere Motor Boat Club on a couple of days about 7 years ago. The place was great then, it could have plummeted down hill since, or it could have improved - I just don't know.

Beautiful location. Well worth a dual location guided tour with nearby Blackwell. The tour guide pleasant and quite knowledgeable.... but bit monotone. Fortunately the locations and surroundings were more uplifting.

All I can say is outstanding. Miles and his team did the catering for our sons wedding. The food was excellent, the service, considering social distancing guidelines, unfussy and the staff worked above and beyond. I hope we can return one day to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere again.

Went to this place for a weekend away, it is located near the lake and it's nice and quiet. Their customer service was good. The building and furniture has been maintained to its original state but some makeovers especially on upstairs floors to avoid noise when walking. Also making rooms ensuite will be great than shared bathrooms, we however didn't share on the day due to Covid -19 regulations. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.

Me and my wife stayed for one night at this amazing place and the hosts were very pleasant, polite and welcoming. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable and we didn't want to leave. The views of the lake from the terrace were breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere was out of this world and so relaxing. We will definitely be returning soon.
