Willington Power Station Bmaa

This power station is sadly no longer in operation but the iconic cooling towers are still very much used as a guiding point for pilots on the approach to east Midlands airport.

Didn't visit no fishing club .... I jumped a fence and went for a walk and soaked up some industrial heritage

Was able to visit with work. Would have loved to have seen it when it was a running power station.

Lovely old chimneys that give up some excellent photo opportunities. I don't think you can get right up to them but access is good from a couple of adjacent fields. Parking nearby in a layby or by the original entrance gates.

We were passing and I have never seen the bottom of the towers before so we stopped and it was cool. It is a shame for such a large area to now be unused and there is loads of rubbish near by but still cool to see the towers
