  • I have had some very tough times in my life, none more then the illness of my dear late wife. Learning to fly was my therapy, you think of nothing other then flying when your at the controls of a aircraft. The instructor I had was the CFI at the time, together with others taught me to fly, and become an important part of my life. I have made many friends at the club. One of the highlights of my flaying was to fly my wife around the IOW solo before she passed.

  • Family oriented. Large space with comfy chairs. An entire wall of windows so you can see the private planes taking off. Lovely menu that changes regularly.

  • Fantastic experience at this great flying club. Had a PPL 40 years ago and wanted a last experience of flying. Ray Ling gave me this. Thank you Ray, I would recommend you to anyone wanting to learn to fly. Thanks also to the friendly welcome from everyone I met.

  • I had a flight test today at the West London Aero Club academy. It was wonderful. I was very happy especially thanks to the flight instructor Amy T, she was super patient and transmitted confidence and security. The plane was a piper super cub very easy to understand. An experience of 10, I will repeat thank.

  • The people working there are extremely friendly. They will help in any way they can. I have not flown in, only visited by car and bike. From what I hear one of the more challenging airfields due to its proximity to LHR, but still a great location as you can fly to Bristol, Oxford, Brighton within a couple of hours. Some of the club members are snobs but who cares.
