  • Not sure what was going on when we visited to fish but 3 swans were being chased from the lakes with a shotgun being fired over their heads and then stones thrown at them whilst on the lake we were fishing on.presume it was the owner in a copper colour pickup. Unbelievable.

  • Arrived just before 10am and left about 2pm. Payments for tickets are cash or cheque by posting into a safe, so no card payments. Ample free parking. No shop, but there are toilets and a cabin where you can make hot drinks. No sign of the owner and no catch book so you could see what flies were effective. Small, well-kept pretty lakes with lots of unhindered casting. Some of the fish close in looked like they had ulcers around the gills and fungal infections. Didn't catch on the day, so can'...

  • Really enjoyed my day fly fishing 21-3-19, managed to net 7 fish biggest being about 4lb,lost 4 and miss 5 all caught on black buzzer fished under a indicater. Well worth a visit and will be back soon.

  • Four nice sized ponds plenty of room...great for casting lots of space for back cast..so fewer break offs and less lost flies..good sized fish stocked....they provide there own landing nets so no need to take one with you

  • Caught my first holiday fish in the UK. Everything looked organised and had a great chat to a number of regular anglers. Fishing was a bit slow and the wind howled. Lot of fish activity and eventually got one with my NZ type woolly bugger. Need to get to grips with the local conditions
