About Wendy Powell-Jones Artist and Tutor
Thank you for visiting my website where you will find my blog posts, portfolio of paintings, work for sale and information about my learn to paint videos. I live in Southwest Wales, Carmarthenshire, in the beautiful Towy valley where much of the inspiration for my work comes from. I like to paint natural subjects and use mainly watercolour and mixed media. I strive to work in a loose style trying to capture the essence and character of a subject rather than rendering detail. I continue to learn, experiment and hopefully develop as an artist. Below are some new autumn paintings, loose and semi abstract. Rather busy but then the woods are rather busy at this time of year đ. Lots of mark making to suggest movement particularly in the bottom two.
