Played here for the first time yesterday. Smashing course in absolutely fantastic condition. Just a shame the clubhouse is undergoing major renovations at the moment (due to be completed by September I believe). But this has not deterred me from booking for the upcoming Mixed Team Open to show the Wife and a couple of friends what I would regard as a true hidden gem.

On the day I played this course it was in excellent condition. The tee boxes were well kept as were the bunkers. The fairways were well manicured, soft and springy and the greens were exceptional.

We held a wake/celebration here for my uncle. The club made us so welcome and the buffet provided was lovely. The setting of the club is beautiful and looks a great place to play golf.

Walmley is an absolutely top class Golf course. The welcome from the club professional was very friendly and informative. The course is a good test of golf and the condition, as always, was fantastic! In my opinion, it's one of the best maintained golf courses in the West Midlands. The greens staff were working on the bunkers and cutting the rough. The attention to detail on the course is a credit to them. Ots just a shame my game wasn't as high class as the surroundings.
