Wallingford Shotokan Karate Club

Absolutely brilliant!!! A really lovely Husband and Wife teaching the classes. They are so fantastic with the children. My son is autistic and it has done wonders for his self confidence, which has even helped in his school life too. I couldn't recommend them highly enough!!! Thank you for everything you do.

My son has been attending Mr Hogan's Shotokan Karate Club for 8 years. He is fantastic with the kids - just the right balance of encouragement and discipline as they work towards their gradings and first dan. His online delivery of lessons has been great during the pandemic too!

My children are ages 11 and 13. They joined the karate club when they were 4 and 6. They are now both BLACK belts! The Sensei(Mr. Hogan)and his wife are brilliant teachers who make the children comfortable from any age. They are very patient and understanding and know how to make the lessons enjoyable. This is a great club! John and his students are friendly and patient and are really encouraging, helping you to rise through the grades and gain skill and discipline. My son has found that learning karate has helped him in many facets of his life, keeping fit and supple and gaining confidence. Would thoroughly recommend!

My son has been having lessons for 6 years with John. The atmosphere is friendly, and the club promotes fun but with focus, I personally believe this has also helped my sons fitness and mental wellbeing.
