Courses for adults in community venues, among them Radio Production, Creative Media, ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), Cook and Eat (healthy eating), Computers in Everyday Life, STEPS to Excellence and Personal Success, Wellbeing and more – some for women or people with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities, others for everyone. Many courses run at South Leeds Community Radio and other community venues, as well as inner-city schools Production and recording – moving image and audio. Vera Media has produced over 150 films for training, promotion, campaigning, records of events and much more, specialising in work with public, third sector, charity, arts, environment, education, feminist and community organisations. Productions have been broadcast on the BBC, Al-Jezeerah and more, and won awards at festivals around the world. Consultancy, fundraising, project and community development. Vera Media has run commissioned projects and programmes supported by NHS, Arts Council, National Lottery, European Union, government departments, local authorities, national charities, social enterprises, foundations, the Skills Funding Agency and more and is now able to offer its expertise to others.
