Twyford Bowling Club

Played there today with a friend. It is a really nice club. The green played well and although the bar wasn't open the facilities are good.

Friendly club, I was made to feel very welcome when my husband and I joined 2 years ago having attended the Open Day in 2018. Bowls is a great sport for all ages and abilities. There is no pressure to join straight away and you can borrow the club's bowls before you purchase your own. As with all community clubs, the more that you put in the more you get out.

Inclusive, very friendly, local club. I had walked past for years on my commute, but only ventured in with my wife on 2018 open day. Wished now we had joined before. Can't beat a relaxing summer evening bowling with friends.

Always found the club a friendly and socialable place to be. Once youve had a bit of coaching help you can bowl either in friendly games, or in more a more competetive capacity or even just have a practice game by yourself or with other members. The bar is always a popular place to socialise.

I went to the Open Day in 2019, having never bowled before. I was made very welcome and given some helpful guidance on how to Bowl. It was so enjoyable I followed this up with a couple of their Friday Night Coaching Sessions to make sure this really was for me and joined the Club 2 weeks later.
