Emergency First Response - Airborne Pathogen Awareness Course - Online

The EFR Airborne Pathogen Awareness Distinctive course provides participants with a fundamental understanding of diseases that are transmitted primarily through the respiratory system. Participants learn the main mechanisms of transmission, as well as methods for reducing transmission risk through the use of disinfection, protective equipment, distancing and airflow. Ideal for workplace environments, or for organizations that host public gatherings.

The course includes knowledge development with practical workshops to develop participants’ understanding and confidence in managing airborne pathogen risk. The course can be adapted, and contents adjusted to meet individual, company and local regulatory requirements as needed.

This course does not cover the higher-level training requirements or methods

that are used by medical professionals interacting with patients who have known

or suspected disease.

You will receive a certificate once you have completed the course, you have been assessed as competent at completing the skills and you have satisfactorily completed a quiz to test your understanding. The course is backed by Emergency First Response and your certification is registered by them.  

You will do the course online via Teams. An email with a link will be sent to you once you are enrolled. Please ensure your email address given is correct. You don't have to have Teams installed you can join by the web client. Once we receive your order, we will email you information within 48 hours. 1 x Anti-bacterial hand sanitizer gel 60ml Alcohol kills 99.99% germs.
