  • Paul has deservedly got a string of 5* reviews and I’m going to add to them ! He’s an incredibly patient teacher and able to adjust his style to the individual student, whether they are a youngster pushing their way through the gradings or a more mature student looking to develop a new hobby. He keeps a focus on the fundamentals and encourages students to broaden their musical outlook. His teaching style is relaxed and informal, adjusting the content of each lesson as required, but always ...

  • I've had lessons with Paul for over three years now and have enjoyed every one of them. He's very patient when I haven't practised enough, encouraging when I have and is always flexible in terms of what we learn week to week. That's avoids getting stuck in a rut AND he's meticulous about the rudiments so bit by bit my skillset is growing! So if you're a 40-something lady who wants to finally learn the drums I'd recommend Paul :0)

  • My daughter has been working with Paul for several years now and not only has he helped her make progress with her drumming skills, he has been wonderfully supportive with building her confidence and self esteem and has inspired her to take GCSE Music. He takes a lot of time and care with his students and adapts his teaching around what their next steps should be and what they are ready for. Very patient, very inspiring, I cant praise him enough for his support and input in my daughter's pla...

Paul has a great style of teaching; his apparent laid-back approach fools you into thinking you are just playing for fun (which was what I said I wanted) whilst in realty he has made sure you are mastering the fundamentals with great technique. He never shows any frustration with s...

  • Paul is my favorite drum teacher in Oxford, despite the fact that I had to bike 8.5 kilometers and up a 100-meter elevation to reach him! I tried taking lesson's from various teachers in the Oxford area, but Paul's lessons were the most fun, engaging, and flexible. Aside from being a charismatic and funny guy, Paul is genuinely involved in every aspect of the lesson, and he is a very knowledgable drummer. He always presented various perspectives and methods to the subject at hand, and had a ...
