Tooting Bec Common Cricket Pitch

Lived in Manville Rd, Tooting, with my girlfriend during the 80s. Such a pleasant Sunday walk to Streatham through this park. Ducks an extra bonus. Happy, wonderful times...

It was very muddy as you would expect for this time of year.part of the common was fenced off for some works.

Green wicket, alot of sideways movement when there's cloud cover. Pitch dries out in the later overs, allowing the spinners to turn it. Odd one bounces but most skid through. Getting the front foot forward will pay dividends.

Small pitch but ok

I'll recommend to find a moment to discover it.
